The DOSBox config program that comes with GOG's games can be useful but it leaves out one of the most important changes you can make in the config file: fullresolution=desktop

Setting this value in conjunction with Surface or Openglnb rendering gives you razor sharp pixels instead of the blurry mess that's there by default. I don't see how anyone could prefer it the other way but I suppose your results are dependent on your monitor's resolution (I'm at 1440p).

Incidentally, it would also be great to have options for simulating CRT scanlines. Some DOSBox branches do this already. I understand that this may be more difficult to implement, though.

Now I'm curious, who here actually uses that program? It's so limited it's useless to me. I always do it manually via notepad, which is also good for actually coming up with decent window sizes, plus any other tweaks and fine-tuning that are available (but rarely necessary in most cases).

Well, if it wasn't so limited I'd use it. Adding useful options to it would make it reasonable to use and probably really handy for people who don't care for editing config files manually or are lazy. fullresolution=desktop is certainly one I'd throw in the "useful" box.

Same here. Upon installation of a DOSBoxed game I immediately open GOG's config and edit it manually.
