I'm not going to calculate all the money I've spent elsewhere since 2012 because GOG doesn't announce upcoming games, but I know it's literally in the hundreds of Canadian dollars.

Whether there is literally no mention of a game coming to GOG or possibly coming later, some upcoming games being buried several pages down while the front page tab shows several versions of a same game, bigger games receiving constant attention for preorder while the others are hard to find, etc.

Just recently, I bought Control elsewhere and I just found out two hours before launch that Art of Rally is coming out here on day one, and it's not even on the front page or the upcoming tab. I sure rebuy a lot of games here at a deep discount later to have the installer (even though GOG wants to call it a backup so that you'll use Galaxy just like Steam instead), but I could spend a lot more money here, honestly.

I might just be a hater, but I'd still like to know what you think.

Have you tried using the GoG RSS feed?

.They indeed released Art of Rally and put the news but because of the news disappeare from the front page in a couple of days is difficult to follow the rhytm, it would be better if the scroll bar show instead of "three times" some more news.

I still don't understand why they buried the news section on the front page and why items disappear so fast from it. Honestly, what was the thinking there?

It has been the number one complaint from the moment they first introduced the redesign. Nothing has changed since then :/

I pretty much stopped visiting the front page at all.

GOG has a search function on the upper right corner. Type in the name of the game or the publisher.
It's so simple.

GOG is probably just a money-laundering operation to hide the fact that they're actually breaking bad and selling drugs online (fast) or so. ;P

Agreed.
Try going away of internet for two weeks (for vacation) and try catching up to the release here. Apart from the community effort, GOG is doing its utmost best to be the most unhelpful possible.

And of course they can't be arsed enough to change their failure of a website in any reasonnable timeframe.

Have you tried patience? If you feel the need to to buy things day 1 then steam will obviously be better, large store things always go there first. Otherwise just wait a bit, you may get it cheaper, and most of the bugs will have been ironed out.

kmanitou: Why is Steam better for day-one purchases?
It’s a far far bigger store. Devs consider the standard platform for gaming. Outside epic exclusives and perhaps Ubisoft, all games go there on day 1. GOG is not in that league, and probably for the better. We tend to get things later, cheaper, and working.

There has to be a reason games like Control go to Steam a short bit ahead of GOG. It's not DRM either, because Control was DRM free on the Epic Store a year ago. Perhaps they're just focused on getting the Steam version out the door and GOG is understandable a secondary concern, or perhaps they have a deal with Steam for front page promotion. Who knows. At least with Control we knew it was coming, others like Greedfall you don't.

Though lately it is pretty easy to guess which games might come here quickly depending on the publisher. EA, Ubisoft? No chance. 2K? Maybe. Focus Home Interactive or THQ? Probably.
