Ok so a long time ago like maybe 10 to 14 years ago i played a game andi have been looking for it for a long time.

Anyway here is all i remember.

1.It starts off in a snowy cold area
2.It you can play as a druid and many other classes i remember becomeing a wolf and upgradeing to a dire wolf.
3. I think it has airships and the story may start with one crashing.
4.It's not Arcanum Of seamworks and magic

Any ideas thanks for any help you can give.

Was it one of those?

It is the only one using a D&D similar system.

But with D&D there would have been no airship or similar...

So only leaves DSA-games IMHO......
Warcraft 3 ? But its not d&d.

Don't have anything in my mind but have a look at this list. All D&D cRPGs in one place!
That sounds a lot like the 2nd Icewind Dale game. You start in a snow covered town, which you leave by means of a airship, which promptly crashes in the mountains. You create a party in the game, and you can create a druid character, which can morph into various stronger and stronger creatures as you progress in the game.

If nothing else, you should remember this song from the beginning area, which is one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs in gaming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HW5r1QWMF9Q

Interesting, I don't remember ever reading about airships in D&D before the Eberron setting.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with D&D lore at all. Note point of interest 6 :

Targos is the starting area of Icewind Dale II

It definitely sounds like Icewind Dale 1 and 2. In both games, there's a gnome alchemist who has an airship, and he crashes that airship at every opportunity.
If I'm remembering correctly, the first game starts with the ship already having crashed. It's grounded, in the upper right section of Kuldahar, the second town (also the primary town) in the game.
I looked at icewind dale 1 &2 and it's not that game.
I think the game looked more 3D and closer to the ground not so much of a overhead but yet it was not 3ed person....
More like overhead with the option to move around the camera.
It also looked better then the ice dale games.

The only other thing i think i remember is a fountain in the middle of the first town.
D&D Online?

Gnomish inventors have always been a possible theme in D&D. The game system has had many settings and even spaceships (and even rules called Spelljammer). One of the earliest modules, in fact, involves an alien spaceship that is found crashed in the mountains by none other than Gary Gygax...
