adaliabooks: Yeah... isn't tracking IPs pretty pointless these days?
I'm fairly sure anyone performing any actually illegal activities will be obscuring there's somehow...
How dare you suggest that people performing any such activities may actually be a tad more intelligent than a lettuce?

X-com: I know this is still relevant today but this article is 2 years old
it's never too late to be added on a watch list.

Well, lunatic asylum seems to be ideal place for paranoid beings behind nsa and such.
We're talking about the same people who were convinced, that Russians invited invisible submarines..

Sorry, I forgot all criminals and terrorists have the IQ of a 6 year old.
nsa is watching you right now anyway
How about those who hang around on sites like GOG.com and like DRM-free software? Are they also considered as extremist and are under surveillance? NSA is snooping around what I've bought from GOG?!?

"So you don't like DRM in your games, hmmm? What are you trying to hide, hmmm hmmm?"

Everyone is watching and silently judging you.
Disliking DRM makes you a pirate. :P

How about those who hang around sites like gnu.org or download free software from sites like ftp.debian.org (and its mirrors)?

How about those who use bittorrent to download DVD images of free (or at least freely redistributable) Linux distributions?

How about those who consider Linux to be too mainstream and use other OSes like the various BSD variants?

No, those all make you communist, which are apprently a lot like terrorists except that they're from from Cuba instead of... hey wait a minute!

MaximumBunny: You're up there with other extremists like ISIS, North Korea, and Tony Hawk. How does that make you feel? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Safe.
"with a unit costing as much as US$190,000"

$15 for chinese-made helicopter,
$40 for the camera,
$20 for wifi transmitter
---
$190,000 - $75 = filthy rich

I don't think they learned "raspil"(fund sawing) from russians...

Lin545: ...
i don't know exactly the costs, but it will cost more than $75, it think that the coded, secured transmitter is expensive + high quality parts + operating base + maintance and repair service

in this video russian police shows such a complete set

Ok, lets double this to $150/unit. That's mass produced and b2g contract.

In the video the complex of 6 units and all hardware claimed to cost 15,000,000 rubles, thats $ 500,000 (2013) for whole. A more cost-efficient raspil, because lower tech and only chief gets cayenne and vacation dacha, the regular engineers get usual salary. ;)
