First of all, let me thank you for the chance to listen to more of McFerrin from whom I knew Paper Music and a few isolated tracks.
Circlesongs
I just bought this album after going back to it a couple of times. Although iTunes mark the category as jazz, to me it’s like a minimalistic version of some traditional music from diverse corners of the world, with some jazz overtones here and there, for sure. Every piece has a simple basic theme with small changes from one repetition to the next and a main voice working on it but never going too far. Each piece is identifiable from the rest which makes it a great album.

I love jazz and I love that there are many kinds of jazz, but this album falls in the very improvisational area which I like less than others. These are great musicians, for sure, and it must have been fun to be there to listen to them, but McFerrin goes a bit too far in his performance for my taste.
Bang! Zoom
I had the time to give this one a listen and it feels more within the regular easy-to-listen jazz. I’m adding it to my online playlist for future listening.
Also, answering the title question:
I don't usually listen to music while gaming but it's not rare to be listening to a podcast or vlog while playing a puzzle game
Finally, I'm in.
Thanks!
