I have read that some people who bought a game + its various DLCs do not get the complete/gold edition entry marked as owned? I usually prefer to buy the complete editions, butt there were two times where I bought only the base game and I'm thinking if buying their upgrades will also mark the complete edition as owned. If this is not the case, why is this happening? Why does not gog fix this? It's obvious that the sum of all parts are equal to the totality. Is there any reason behind this decision? Or is just a bug?
I'll bump this thread once more. I'm really curious about this issue. If no one answers, I'll let it be forever forgotten on the depths of gog's forum :(
It depends on the game. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes owning a more complete edition doesn't cancel out the base game either.

For example, I may own WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT, THE - GAME + EXPANSION PASS, but apparently I do not own WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT, THE nor WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT, THE - EXPANSION PASS but I do have marked as owned WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT, THE - HEARTS OF STONE.

In some games they do. In some games they don't.

If you buy Game and DLC separately then Complete Edition is NOT marked as owned.
(See Shadowrun HongKong, TW3)

However, If you buy Complete Edition, Game and DLC are marked owned.
(Shadowgate Special Edition)

But if you will try to buy Complete Edition after buying Game+DLC then you will get a message. (see attachment.)

And NO NEED TO PANIC. IT'S JUST A BUG!!!

I know The Pit you get the Gold Upgrade patch, but not the gold version of the game. Quite strange.

It's a mess on GOG. I have for example Cities in Motion and I have the DLC collection. However I don't have Cim Complete marked even though technically i have everything. I own Pillars of Eternity Hero edition, yet it doesn't shows that I own it, White march shows. The Witcher 3 shows i own it however "TW3 + Exp pass" version is not marked as owned even though I have it all... A mess...
