Falkenherz: Kilgazar is probably close to your description. I wrote a review for the game which you can find under the link.

Ghorpm: Whoa, i have finished the game several times (at least once with every character) but I would never call it a casual game. It's pretty brutal and unforgiving!
Hm, then it's probably only my perception. I felt that the fact that you can always rest between combat to get back to full health and mana or that you can just buy health anytime with your gold made it rather easy. The most important thing probably is to never run head on into your enemies (and thus get swarmed by them) but wait for them to come to you once one of them sees you. And since the content (weapons, spells and enemies) is very limited in variety, it makes the game more predictable than other roguelikes.

dtgreene: Also, I would prefer it if there is no backward progression; in other words, I would prefer to do without things like level draining and stolen items. I would also prefer item identification to be easy or for items to already come identified.
