Yeah
The DLC's that are the worst are the ones that you pay money for that are only new armor skins, weapon skins, new quests, new dungeons, etc.

Story DLC's that are like one hour to finish or five hours to finish are also the worst.

Real fun content for a video game to play are actual expansion packs like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Blood & Wine and Hearts of Stone. Now those are worth the money to pay for and are a lot of fun to play.

Correct, and I think the DLC's should be minimal 20 hours and the others with new armor/weapons/skills/etc etc, should be free and I never pay for those.

Maybe DLC could be as you describe, and then each individual DLC could have its own DLC to cover the cosmetic additions, and re-skins, etc. But you would have to own the first tier DLC in order to activate the second tier DLC.

I don't necessarily agree, I think it depends a great deal on how much they're charging and how much game the original game has.

The armor/weapons/skills ones I tend to avoid as well just because they tend to either be worthless or destroy the challenge. Although, I have gotten those in the past as part of a GOTYE.

Personally, I found the FO:NV DLC to be some of the best I've ever played. I loved sneaking through the fog and trying to figure my way through the content even though I repeatedly died.

The armor/weapons/skills ones, should be free or integrated with an update.TGM works for me:)

Sounds okay but there is nothing wrong with placing them with an update. It's really just a money gimmick as a lot of DLC's are produced and held back from release, exactly for this purpose.

These days, sadly, there aren't a whole lot of DLCs that are meant to genuinely add on or to enhance the fun. They are mostly mechanics that should have been there right from the start, or parts of the story sliced and diced out, so that they can charge you more for the game.
True, the DLCs of F3 and FNV are not very good.

But the base game of F3 is not very good either. So I'm not sure why its DLCs are any more of a downer than the base game itself: they are all equally bad.

DLCs for FNV are certainly a gigantic decrease in quality though.
The MK X DLC added Leatherface.

Good enough for me! :D

It's definitely a money grab, but worse it tends to break the game in various ways. I'm always somewhat tempted to just disable those kinds of DLC when they come bundled as they tend to lower the difficulty of the game via a purchase. At bare minimum they're often an easy source of cash early on in the game.

I personally, think it would be a lot more fun if the weapons and what have you would be the result of a short quest.

Yes, I take it I'm not the only one that misses old school expansion packs that typically doubled or at least significantly increased the amount of gameplay on a game you'd been playing.

Cases like *coughhellfirecough* not withstanding.

The real downers are those who downvote without even reading the posts.

I remember trudging across the desert and picking up those magic lanterns and picking up an Obsidian Weapon and also countless times mining gems just to forge a weapon or armour.

FO3 is much better than NV. But they're both very playable due to the fact they're very much the same game.

I think it depends what you mean by better. I enjoyed them both, but the world design of FO:NV was clearly given a lot more thought than in FO3 as they avoided some of the more asinine things like the raiders. The raiders make precisely no sense, they exist just to rape and pillage and even though they seem completely suicidal, there's always more of them. Compare that to the NV equivalent that does seem to have some reason for being and at least a modicum of concern for survival.

DLC-wise, they both had some great DLC and some rather questionable DLC, although, it's hard for me to really say which I preferred. Although, IMHO, it's hard to top Dead Money.
