Embrace your adventurous inner child with The Lion King, Aladdin, and The Jungle Book!

Good stories never fall out of style. And if someone knows how to tell a proper fairytale, that's got to be Disney. Today, three of their most celebrated, charming platformers of yore based on such tales are coming back, exclusively on GOG.com. Disney Aladdin, Disney The Lion King, and Disney The Jungle Book are all household names that still captivate our imagination, decades after we got introduced to their cinematic and videogame worlds.

That's why GOG.com and Disney heave teamed up to bring these beloved classics of the 16-bit era to a new generation of gamers and Disney fans. All three titles have been meticulously updated to be compatible with modern operating systems while preserving the original graphics, sound, and gameplay.

Developed during the golden age of platformers, Disney Aladdin, Disney The Lion King, and Disney The Jungle Book established themselves as hallmarks of the genre, earning the praise of fans and critics alike for over two decades. That was due in no small part to their groundbreaking visuals. With the advent of Digicel technology, hand-drawn cels from Disney's animation team brought the characters to life with a level of vibrancy that was unparalleled at the time, and remains impressive today. Just look at how adorable little Simba looks when he roars at his enemies!

Return to these beautiful worlds, full of that unmistakable Disney charm and wondrous sense of adventure. Disney Aladdin, Disney The Lion King, and Disney The Jungle Book are available now, DRM-free on GOG.com and you can get them for 10% off individually, or for 33% off as a bundle of heartwarming joy until August 8, 12:59 PM UTC!

The screenshots from the Lion King are making me cry. My childhood, where hast thou gone...?

I don't have the budget to get these right away, but will grab them ASAP!

PaterAlf: None of the LucasArts games is regionally priced (except for the usual Russian discount). So I was optimistic that it would stay this way for the Disney games.
True, but these are Disney IP's, and Disney has always been greedy with their own stuff.
While a nice additions to the catalogue, my nostalgia wont write such cheques.
Not my cup of tea, but it's nice to see these games here.
well thats nice ..i guess
just not for me

platformers combined with disney movies i dont like and a steep price tag ?
pass
Great releases, not so great prices. I have very fond memories of all three games as a kid, even though at the time I didn't have my own PC. :)

cause like nintendo they know they can get away with it
I used to play the crap outta The Lion King on my ol' Sega Genesis. GOG Linux release, wishlisted.

ReynardFox: Also, those pricetags for games inferior to the console versions are ridiculous.
Just because you had a console 20 years ago doesn't mean that DOS versions of the same games are automatically inferior.

No, but the empirical evidence of me having played each game on both PC and console says to me that they are.

and there was also this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lion_King_%28video_game%29#Windows_technical_issues

windows screwing things up back as far as 1994

oh and this
>>The PC version was a subject of controversy due it requiring technical specifications and setup beyond what most of the game's target audience had experience with, which resulted in many people who bought the game finding that they could not make it run<<
