Yeah, please fix this GOG!
The Discounted filter still doesn't work. Are the GOG Devs aware of this?
Any update on this?

We are working on a fix, but I can't provide the exact ETA :(
Our apologies for all the trouble this bug causes.

Turn off the website for a bit, let the engineers work on it, put up a maintenance notice. It works for other places, people can go for a while without.

I'd appreciate it if you could also check why Bleak Faith: Forsaken still has a -10% discount (in the wishlist, not on the store page) despite not being out yet and not having a base price. The same thing happened with Life of Delta, though that "discount" has since disappeared. I got e-mail notifications for both of these with no discount or price listed. This happened when each game was released on Steam.

Edit: it's gone now. I don't know if anything was fixed or the non-existing discount simply expired.

Any update on the broken Discounted filter?

Does it work? No? Then no.

They never tell us what's finished when. "We are working on it" is all you can hope for. Once it works, that 's the only news you will get.
The EU mandated functionality (lowest price in 30 days) was implemented.

So it's not like there is zero chance for website functionality programming as has been assumed since last November when everything started breaking.

So let's hope for some minimal maintenance to maintain database integrity (as that is what you as a customer is, a couple of hundred (perhaps) records in a relational database).

I believe you've stumbled upon the answer.

I've checked several dozen games in my wishlist that are "discounted" without price reduction and every one is missing the lowest price in 30 days information.

Now I can't prove the converse (properly discounted games, or full price games that aren't listed always have the EU mandate text), but I strongly believe the two events are related.
They are probably related, but which one is the cause and which one the effect ... that's a different story.

Of course it could also be that they are both effects of another bug.

I've checked the Discounted filter again and noticed the same thing. All of the non-discounted games are missing the "Lowest price in the last 30 days before discount" quote on the game card. This could be the reason why the Discounted filter hasn't been working.

Or: Because these games have never been discounted since the info was introduced - the "lowest price" info is missing.
Cause and effect - effect and cause.

What a relief. It only takes the threat of legal action to get anything done around here. The working theory is that they're understaffed. But when someone posts a solution on January 5th and it's still not fixed or acknowledged either on the forum or in chat, I don't know how to interpret that other than employees don't give a shit.

The Discounted filter has been broken -- in this new way -- since before the end of March. The "30 days before the discount" thing was rolled out March 31st.

At least that was the date when it was shown to us. How long it has been sitting invisible on the website for testing and debugging, is hard to say.

But in the end it's not important. We have two (more?) broken functionalities on the website. Maybe they will get fixed, maybe not.
