If you feel like some of our Insomnia deals disappeared too quickly, we’ve got good news for you! For the next 24h, we are speeding things up. Insomnia Rewind starts now, with deals that will change every hour giving you the next chance to buy great games with extremely deep discounts.

Remember, the games you’ll see during this event were already present on our Insomnia Promo, giving you a clear hint of what’s coming. ;)

MarkoH01: THAT is insomnia feeling. Those who dislike them will never like them .. I am one of them who likes them and so I say "thank you, GOG" (no sarcasm here for a change). Also sorry fo those who preferred the flashdeals kind of approach.

eiii: I'm not a fan of insomnia or flash sales. I prefer long running sales where I have time to look up the offers and decide at the end. But the old insomnia sales at least were fun. When you had missed an offer you could hope for the next round. And when you had missed it 2 or 3 times you still could ask someone to cover you with a gift code during the next round. I think I managed to grab all the games I wanted or at least almost all of them. Not like the current insomnia sale where several games from my wishlist have good discounts, but I could not grab even a single one of them. So this "neutered" insomnia sale will end with more frustration than fun for me. And the screwed up rewind, starting up in the middle of the night, so that several offers are already gone before you even realize it has started, and which does not contain all previous offers, is no replacement for the repetition during the old sales. Either repeat the offers more often or make all of them available together at the end of the sale!
I agree. I like to take my time to decide what I want and compare options. Neither of which you can do with flash sales.

Also they demand you be on at times you might not be able to be on.

All to pressure you into making a purchase, which itself feels dishonest.

Yep, it certainly has that feel .... like it was being run by a shonky car salesman or snake oil merchant.

They don't allow you the time to do due diligence, so if you haven't already done so, then the pressure is on to take advantage of what may be a great bargain.

I have generally done my due diligence on games I am interested in, but I certainly cannot recall it all at short notice. I need to refresh my memory. So in a very real way they take advantage of your natural human failings ... memory, limited finances, etc.

Most of us don't like missing out on a good bargain.

But does anyone really like being manipulated by mind games either? I certainly don't.

In the end we are our own worst enemy, as are those who try to take psychological advantage of that.
