skeletonbow: I bought the preorder about 5 days ago or so on GOG. I stopped buying games in 2006 up to which point they were all boxed on DVD/CD. I started buying again in 2012 from GOG and then Steam and have only bought digital download games since.

It's kind of funny because before I used to hate the idea of digital downloads because I wanted to hold the box, get the paper manual and other crap in the box and it felt good to hold a physical object that I know is mine. But now I feel completely different. Now I look at physical game boxes, DVDs, manuals and other stuff that would come in a game box as "even more physical world clutter to trip over" and want less of that in my life. Now I prefer manuals and other documents to be PDFs or images, maps to be images, etc. It's funny how a few years can change one's perspective and preferences like that.

Having said that, I don't think I'd ever consider buying a game in a box on a plastic disk or whatever again as I just see them as a disadvantage now personally for my own desires. :)
i prefer physical still but thats because i am a console gamer

its easier to buy and trade and buy used games when they are physical
and a lot of consoles only come in physical media

i havent seen a shop with digital saturn games yet

For console, physical all the way (where possible). Between the restrictions, weird account behavior, and pricing models you just get fucked most the time buying digital (and digital on a Nintendo console is awful since it is hardware tied).

What happened with your paypal?
Does it just not work with gog anymore?

If so, you should probably contact support. If that fails, make a second paypal account (paypal allows you two accounts).
You don't even have to link a card or bank account to it.
Just send money from your first account to your second and use it for gog! :)

Nah, it's not quite like that. I do an e-cheque to my bank and it usually works fine. On the occasion though (usually a week out of every month or two) when I try to pay with my bank it says "This merchant does not accept non-instant transactions". It's not even just with GOG, Steam too. I've contacted Paypal, Steam, GOG, etc and nobody really knows why it sometimes does this.

Stupid, really. I would've sent money from my bank account but I was REALLY short on cash until the Friday before TW3 actually released and it takes 3-5 business days so I was kind of boned for the pre-order.
