There's still the option to stealth-release it, GoG.
Just saying.

lace_gardenia: against myself?
Self-loathing isn't as sexy as you think it is.

Racism is racism. Disgusting behavior is disgusting behavior. Doesn't matter how much perfume, pearls & flowers you throw on top of it, a pig is still a pig.

You're the one you're fighting against. Keep it to yourself.

Thanks.

Against a Jew of color.

Also, as a Black Asian First Nations Latinx Aboriginal Tibetan Maori person, I'm telling you you're a racist white man, so don't go whitesplaining.

toxicTom: Not here, 90% died. Because as soon as the next supermarket opened nearby, offering more stuff for less money, they simply couldn't compete. You have to know that, especially in the cities, most shopkeepers don't own the real estate they set up shop in - they have to pay rent. Dwindling turnover is often a quick death sentence. That's why German cities look all the same - the horrendous rents are only affordable for a handful of huge franchises, and in turn those are everywhere, pushing all smaller competition away.

Add to that the ridiciously German laws and regulations. Only big companies with a horde of lawyers and specialists can safely navigate this jungle of rules.
I'm aware. Cities in the US have the same problem. Rural areas, it's more or less the opposite, but not to the same degree. You still have your corporate influence, but, especially in my area, there's plenty of companies that are untouched by the concept of "boards." But, this is the rub, and why i say that corporations are not capitalist entities: they are a pseudo-government body, bound by legal obligations provided by whatever nation(s) they reside in. Effectively, GOG legally has to bend the knee to china, unless we can get enough non-chinese to outnumber the prospective chinese market. Good luck.

lace_gardenia: yeah, way to take a stand for justice, you brave man you

edit: i myself am a white person, so i can both notice and point out that i have systemically benefited from that, thankyouverymuch

shattenyagger: My wife is white. My kids therefore are half white. They see zero benefit or privilege from their "race". lol
Your decisions are not really motivated by your perceived "race". Make shitty decisions, you'll have a shitty life.
Have you ever noticed that white people care more about "racism" than any other race? Trump did even better with minorities than he did in 2016, but the main issue this election was supposedly racism. Why do we always listen to outraged intellectuals who represent figurative people rather than real people? Why are white people so racist as to think that non-whites need white advocates to stick up for themselves?

EDIT: Oh, and did you catch that edit where apparently a non-white person is so stupid they need a white person to explain white priviledge to them?

7000 votes on the wishlist!

By the way, how does one change their forum title? I can't find the option anywhere in the user settings menu.

https://www.gog.com/forum/mysettings

It's beside the blue help button that's under the bar with your other account settings.

lace_gardenia: funny how white privilege seems to simultaneously exist and not exist, going by what people here are angry about and use as an argument
Ever hear of a self-fulfilling prophecy?

lace_gardenia: it's in the separate settings menu for the forums. just to the left of "help" at the top of the page.

Zezione: It is difficult for me to see this the backlash that GOG is receiving for an order to which they are subjected, it has already been observed before the repression of China to other countries of the world and GOG is just a store, it cannot compete against the largest market in the world, much less ignore them, many find it difficult to realize that GOG needs customers to survive, personally they always treated me with great respect and were very attentive when I contacted with technical support... I really wanted to play Devotion and it was extremely hard today to see this, I'm also concerned about Red Candle Games, they didn't diserved that, but GOG is not our enemy, is just one victim more from the censorship. We as gogers have to support GOG more than ever in the difficult times, and don't mislead our hatred toward those who share or same situation!!!!
GOG is a business. If you support businesses because they bowed down to China's pressure and the CCPs demands, the only conclusion i can draw is that you like China dictating what you can and cannot consume, what you can and cannot say.

But i don't want to have any of that. I will rather support businesses who resist, or at least try resisting China's overreach.
To each their own.

yiasemi: I have a suggestion for poor beleaguered CDPR. A brand change. Henceforth, they make a tiny change to their name and become CCPR. Not only does this suit their brave new direction, but they gain a bit of ranking in alphabetical order, and if money is as tight as it seems to be, office stationery can be fixed with a bit of correcting fluid or an eraser. Signs need just a touch of paint, and so on. The name rolls off the forked tongue slightly easier too, I reckon.
Brilliant! Witty! Poignant! Primetime material!
My deepest apologies for upvoting your contribution only once, but that's all i can do...
Maybe Red Candle Games should reach out to Zoom Platform (if no-one else has already suggested it)? I would buy the game if it were on there, for sure.
