One thing I could say for certain, I can't care less about a XIV release...

Why did that game had to be an MMORPG?

Why could 13 not be that RPG?

I want a Medieval Fantasy themed Final Fantasy game and the best looking ones are MMORPGs :(

Because in 14 the story sucks, it's designed to waste your time, and it would be completely pointless single player?

tfishell: But hey, there's always suicide. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Yes there is... and it's not a fun thought when you start thinking of it as an option.

joelandsonja: Here's are my picks for the games I would like to see released.
I'd have to say, i'd probably accept them all. However considering most of them are older games, even if they were updated they are being milked too much. I have a number of them already, so re-buying them doesn't seem like a worthy investment. $1 per game, package them all together and make it $20 flat for everything combined.

*sigh* maybe i'm being bitter, but few games have been interesting or worthy of me consider buying in the last few years (with the exception of indie games it seems)

Better than the hallway that was 13.
Final Fantasy III - DS/mobile Remake
Final Fantasy VII - steam version but drm-free.

I care about: final fantasy 1, 5.
I don't care about: ff 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14

I'm actually quite conflicted on that comparison. They're both pretty damn horrible, IMO.

You do know I want a story driven, single player appropriate Final Fantasy 14 right? Same goes for 11.

I am not asking for an offline version of the MMOs themselves.
An offline FF11 would be godly, though.
I would like to see all singleplayer Final Fantasy games here on gog. But I wouldn't buy them (again) because I already have all singleplayer Final Fantasy games for PC bought already.
Since I no longer buy any Steam games (GOG only) the only Final Fantasy games I am able to play are the original console versions running on emulator. Unfortunately Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX are extremely dated when it comes to graphics. I still don't understand why Steam wouldn't release Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX with the original hand-drawn backgrounds, HD video and a few updates to the characters. I don't think this would have been a labour intensive update on their part.

for those interested there is a square enix sale on steam
and all available final fantasy games are 50% off
I want Final Fantasy Period. As the name suggests, it is really the final game in the series.

I know this joke about the name "Final Fantasy" has probably been around for ages, but fuck you if you can't take an old joke. It is like those comedy movies in the 80s which suggested that in the year 2000 there will be movies like Rocky XVIII with an old grey Sylvester... but those jokes turned out to be true! Stallone just couldn't stop making new Rocky and Rambo movies, or Arnold appearing in newer Terminator movies.

yeah, well, that's like asking for a completely new game. It would have zero to do with the actual FF XIV.
It'd be cool if they threw in bundles of the individual games, such as if FFIV had the GBA release and the DS release together. Or something.

Bigs: I think it's more a point that Squeenix Japan will never release them DRM free...
And I have no doubt that you hit the nail on the head.
