UPDATE 2:

The Outer Worlds, as well as the Spacer's Choice Edition, will NOT be delisted. While this is great news, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

It was an unfortunate miscommunication. We're all humans after all

kenrap: Not looking good for getting The Outer Worlds 2 and Avowed. I would actually like to get those games just because they both provide a third person view option.

wolfsite: Still a chance as those two games were published by Microsoft and we still get Bethesda games plus they have been teasing other games.

The original Outer Worlds was published by Private Division which has been taken over by another company.
Gotcha, thanks for that. :)
So it's possible these games are being delisted so they can be relisted under the new publisher with a different pay structure. That could be good-ish news.
Far as i remember, The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition is considered to be a buggy version of the game showing issues that the previous versions did not have.

Would it be too optimistic to believe it's being taken down in order to fix the reported issues in so-called "remaster" of the game?

First of all, they have no reason to delist the original game for issues with the remaster. Secondly, it's been in the store for nearly 3 years; they're not pulling it just now because they want to patch it some more.

Odessam: I had the TOW DLCs to get but if they're not on sale by then, I'll have an incomplete edition in my game library.
They could at least let us buy them with discounts, it's annoying. I hope by the 15th the prices will have changed, and I'll take the chance to grab the Kerbal Space DLCs too, but I don't have high hopes for that.
If it helps, the DLCs are not exactly must-haves.

They ain't bad, but if The Outer Worlds was an anime series, the DLCs would be obvious filler slop.
These are the new owners that bought the publisher from Take2 to (respectfully) talk to: https://www.haveliinvestments.com/

So you're saying there's a chance.
Had Ancestors laying in my wishlist for quite some time so I've just made the deal. Thanks for the heads up!
TBH, The Outer Worlds for 60$ can get delisted as many times as needed even if it's DRM-free. But I did get Ancestors, thanks for the heads-up.
The delisting of Outer Worlds is actually quite a shame to me since it is considered a major game release. Yeah, it has some technical issues and whatnot, but it's definitely a great game.

Spacer's Choice Edition is a cash grab with worse performance, uglier visuals, and a price tag that is offensive. Good Riddance!

Ancestors...........................meh, I don't know. I'm on the fence about it. I generally dislike damned dirty apes.

Ok, so I have a little more time to think about it knowing that they are not actually delisted and that they are not on sale for these winter sales anyway.
I am super confused. Will both games NOT become delisted now?
True chaos here...
