UPDATE 2:

The Outer Worlds, as well as the Spacer's Choice Edition, will NOT be delisted. While this is great news, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

It was an unfortunate miscommunication. We're all humans after all

Hey folks, I need to bring some unfortunate news:

Both The Outer Worlds (https://www.gog.com/game/the_outer_worlds) and Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey (https://www.gog.com/game/ancestors_the_humankind_odyssey) will be removed from the store on December 15th (I don't have an exact hour yet). We've secured a discount for Ancestors, but couldn't do so for The Outer Worlds. This also includes all editions & add-ons for both games.

As always, we'll try to bring them back.

What about Spacer's Choice Edition Upgrade (Spacer's Choice Edition will stay, I take it)?

Thanks for the last discount chance.

Wonder if a change in publishers is the reason for the delisting of The Outer Worlds.
Ancestors.... a case of only knowing that a game exists when it gets delisted

Winter (sale) is coming...
Interestingly, both games are published by the very same company as Kerbal Space Program.

: ) Exactly! Which is a bit strange, as, during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale, I had scanned through most of the discounted products.

UPDATE: Unfortunately I confirmed that The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition will also be delisted at that date.

Shame. I consider Outer Worlds kind of a "big deal" game.

Thank you for the warning and for a final sale for Ancestors. I had that game on my wishlist and was postponing getting it.

Does the publisher provide an explanation for their decision to remove those games, or is that something GOG is unable to disclose to us?

Had literally mentioned that today to another fellow gogger!

Sometimes i honestly believe there is an issue with filters, same with OlliOlli, with that price I should have certainly spotted at least one in years, but nope, I only found it because of this delisting - when checking which other games this studio had.
So I'm guess then it's not looking good for getting Outer Worlds 2 here. :/

IIRC, Private Division is a part of 2K/Take Two.

A company which, apparently, doesn't exist anymore in that form or by that name. I'm guessing these delistings might mean that the new owner of the publisher formerly known as Private Division isn't very interested in dealing with a DRM-free store.
Unless the publishing situation's somehow different with KSP (the game's Wikipedia page lists the game as having been published by PD from 2018 to 2023, though that's probably just an oversight), I'd recommend that anyone who wants to get it here do so relatively soon.

Not any longer. And it's Fictions now.

Wish we could get a discount on the outer space DLC and expansion pass...
