Yeah it's a shame some devs or publishers don't care about preserving their games, though I guess that's just how licenses work. I'm sure it will be "preserved" on abandonware and co. sites.

Licenses works exactly in the way it has been set up. If they are getting a "8 years license" or comparable it will simply be gone 8 years after, with a farting noise comparable to its success.

GOG is a store, not a museum or an archive. They do not have, nor will they ever have, the legal mandate to preserve anything without violating copyright. If you want actual preservation, you need to go to a museum or an archive that is legally able to do so.

It still baffles me that people treat GOG’s “preservation” slogan as if it were literal. It’s just a marketing USP to sell games. They are not doing game preservation in the true sense of the term, and they cannot do so as long as they are a for-profit storefront. Get over it.

So the delisting was 2 days late on Steam, only actioned an hour ago.

Indeed... what the hell... on GOG it gets delisted a few hours earlier and on Steam a few days later... to even things out or something? :D

Oh well. Chapter closed regarding this game I guess.

And I posted it here in this very thread too. I thought it was obvious enough, that I bought it there on the finish line.
