This new D&D comics bundle is a tough call if you've bought the 2015 bundle...

There's only one repeat on the first tier, Dungeons & Dragons: Forgotten Realms Classics, Vol. 1.

The second tier has three repeats, Dungeons & Dragons, Vol. 2: First Encounters, Dungeons & Dragons Classics, Vol. 1 and Dungeons & Dragons: Forgotten Realms Classics, Vol. 2.

Five repeats on the third tier, Dungeons & Dragons Classics, Vol. 2 and 3, Dungeons & Dragons: Forgotten Realms Classics, Vol. 3 and 4 and Dungeons & Dragons, Vol. 3: Down.

And this is what's really annoying me.

There's a warning that the comics in the fourth and final tier were already included in the 2015 bundle but two of them weren't: Dungeons & Dragons: Shadows of the Vampire and Dungeons & Dragons: Frost Giant's Fury.

I'll most likely buy this at the third tier -- the Dragonlance volumes are the main attraction here -- but I'll resent missing out on those two books.

Yeah, I'm undecided, too. I really wish they'd followed the Humanoids bundle where the highest tier included only the comics from the earlier bundle.
OK, there was a 2018 bundle that I skipped -- it was an even more shameless repackaging of the 2015 one with only three previously unbundled volumes added -- and it's that bundle that their warning refers to.

@Geddes17, I decided to buy this at the third tier. Ten new volumes (eight of which are Dragonlance) seemed worthwhile, though one of those may not be new to those who bought the 2018 bundle, Dungeons & Dragons: Evil at Baldur's Gate.

I would have liked to have gotten Dungeons & Dragons: Shadows of the Vampire and Dungeons & Dragons: Frost Giant's Fury as well but the value simply wasn't there. They'll be rebundled eventually, I'm sure.
And a new Manga Bundle on HumbeBundle:

I find it interesting that, out of all things, they decided to attach a gay porn bundle to a stop asian hate type campaign
Comixology has an *insane* sale on Marvel Star Wars 'Legends' (i.e. old stuff) collections right now, everything either $0.99 or $1.99.
A new Humble bundle: HEAVY METAL'S HEAVIEST METAL

It's nice that they're offering companies that have never been bundled before, and don't usually offer DRM-free purchasable content, but I'm not sure if the amount of content here justifies the price.

I seem to vaguely remember an earlier Humble Bundle with "Heavy Metal" issues but I could also be wrong and confuse it with something else ... Either way I agree that the content of this bundle seems to be quite thin so I don't think I'll buy it (maybe the $1 tier - although probably not because I don't care about all those #1s).

Edit: Oh, I remembered: The bundle I meant was the Humanoids bundle that included some "Metal Hurlant" collections. Does anybody know if "Heavy Metal" is just the translation of that or kind of a "spin-off" with completely separate stories?

"Metal Hurlant" is published by Humanoids, while "Heavy Metal" is it's own publisher - they have a legacy of publishing mostly Sci-Fi stories, usually with more focus on art than story and oftentimes the art includes female nudity.
A few years ago Kevin Eastman took over it and recently, Grant Morrisson was hired as EIC, or something of the sort, which should help improve the story aspects, though I haven't really read any of their recent output, so can't really tell.

I never realized how many "Star Wars" comics there were before the "reboot". Does anyone have recommendations on what series I should try?

I do not know a lot about Star Wars comics but my brother does and he has recommended me:
- Star Wars - The Thrawn Trilogy (based on famous books)
- Star Wars - Agent of Empire Vol. 1 and 2
- Star Wars: Legacy Vol. 1, 2 and 3
- Star Wars - Dark Empire Trilogy
- Star Wars - The Crimson Empire Saga
- The Star Wars (based on the original star wars script)
- Star Wars Dark Times Vol1 and 2 (it is the story of a Jedi after the empire killed almost all the jedi, and how he survives being a space pirate )
- Star Wars Omnibus: Knights of the Old Republic Vol1, 2 and 3.
My brother also told me that the manga adaptations of the films are said to be good, but he has not read them.

The first couple of omnibuses have some classic 'bronze age' artists (chaykin, simonson) plus the greatest Star Wars character of all time, Jaxxon. And I enjoyed Jabba the Hutt Art of the Deal, written by -- of all people! -- Jim Woodring
Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll go with KOTOR (loved the games) and "Clone Wars" (loved the TV series) and/or maybe the "classic" omnibuses (the first one was part of an early Humble Bundle so I could build on that ...).

Edit: Well, *somehow* I ended up also buying the "Dark Empire Trilogy", Vol. 1 of "At War With the Empire", Vol. 1 of "Wild Space", "Quinlan Vos", "The Other Sons of Tatooine", "The Crimson Empire Saga" and both volumes of "Dark Times". I can't imagine how THAT happened ... *sigh* All in all a litte more than €20 for thousands of pages. Now I just have to find the time to actually read them. :-)
