dutchexcalibur: Grabbed the Groupees Top Cow bundle, and the comic quality continues to disappoint compared to the Humble Bundle.

Does anyone know why the files Groupees get are always much lower quality than what Humble gets?
Yeah and then there's the issue of files missing altogether. This bundle was not ready for primetime, no wonder it was delayed so much.

Might be worth writing to Groupees support and requesting higher quality versions since I get the impression they compress the files themselves. Would be nice if they had high/low quality options like Humble.

Can you specify which books have lower resolution/missing files? I'll add a complaint as well if I see the same.

Hmm, I wonder if the complete "Knights of Sidonia" is worth the $17 ... but since I already own Vol. 1-3 from an earlier Humble Bundle I guess I should find out for myself. ;-)

Btw: I read in another forum that some people got a $20 credit code from Comixology with their "Holiday greetings"-e-mail. Well, I got that e-mail as well ... but there's no code! What could be the reason for that: Is it regionally restricted? Do only customers get it that spent a certain amount of money in 2016 at Comixology? Or were just some people randomly chosen that have subscribed to their newsletter?

Did anyone here get or not get this code?
It might be regionally limited and its likely also limited to "valid" accounts which have spent over a certain value within the year. Money off coupons are basically (online) just regular sale discounts; whilst actual "here's some money" to spend in the store tend to be restricted to certain situations of validation - to prevent people just spamming their site with fake accounts for free cash.

Yeah, makes sense. Well, I spent about €70 this year, so if e.g. $100 was the minimum to get a code I would have missed that. Or the code was only for Americans since it's 20 US dollars ...
Comixology has a new Dynamite bundle: "Masked Crime Fighter Bundle". But it's rather expensive (€13,99 for 30 items) and features mostly comics that have been bundled before ("Green Hornet", "Lady Zorro", "Miss Fury", "Masquerade", "The Owl"). The only thing that's new to bundles is "The Last Phantom" (#1-6).

New Image bundle. I own most of it on Comixology, but might still succumb.

The German amazon store (amazon.de) has regularly reduced flash sales on physical english-language Marvel comics. Usually they are only 20-30% off, so including shipping costs it's probably not a good deal for international buyers, but at least German comic fans may take a look. This week they are having some Marvel omnibuses on sale. Yesterday it was one from Spider-Man that was reduced from about €130 to a little more than €100, today there will be "X-Men: Age of Apocalypse Omnibus" (beginning in about two hours) and "Guardians of the Galaxy by Abnett & Lanning Omnibus" (in five hours).

I'm very unsure about this bundle. Big quantitiy but almost only Vol. 1s and quite a few repeats. It's probably only really worth it (for the casual reader) if there will ever be a follow-up bundle that builds on it. Well, before I decide I'll definitely wait for the second week additions ...
Huge bundle deal at Dark Horse. All 211 Buffy-universe books for just $99.99, tempting even though my digital backlog is already decades long.

I see it as an ideal bundle for someone on the fence about several of those series and wanting to get a really good taster of them. It's fantastic because Iamge publishes a lot of really great comics. It's fantastic for those newer to comics; but ye for those who have been around the bonus gets a little less;esp if you've already been involved in previous bundles or sales and gotten into the series.

The top reward might be worth it for some; though I'd say outside of die-hard fans of the writer/artist/publisher it won't gain value till that new comic is published

I wish other series would do this - sometimes the huge number of comics turns me away from even starting to consider reading into a series (even if they do reboots or restarts or at least catch-up issues every so often). Heck isn't the comic that Judge Dred started/appears in up to something like 2 thousand issues?

In addition to the mountain of Image comics on sale at Humble Bundle - there's also a big sale going on at Comixology.

So you don't have to stop at volume 1 from the bundle. Note SAGA has the book 1 in the Humble Bundle which has several of the first volumes within it (its not just volume 1)

Oh, thanks for this important information! Since I own Vol. 1, 4 and 5 from earlier bundles that may indeed be the tipping point for me to buy the $20 tier. :-)

Edit: Now that I took a closer look at the bundle: "The Wicked + the Divine" is also Book One (containing Vol. 1-2).

Second week additions to "Image at 25" Humble Bundle are "Deadly Class Vol. 1" (bundled before), "Black Science Vol. 1" and a few more #1s:

Also, there's a new "Tank Girl Comics" Humble Bundle:
