bluethief: bluethief is enjoying the party very much when he hears GamezRanker calling: "Hey bluethief come here and pick up a goodie for you". bluethief goes to the table of goodies and picks Amnesia: The Dark Descent: "Can I have this one, please?"

GamezRanker looks at him and says....
avatar
GamezRanker: "No, you lose! Good day, sir!"

GR then notices bluethief, turns around and says "Oh, my apologies, I was honing my Willly Wonka impression.....did you like it? And yes, of course you may have it....a fine choice that one is. I shall have my minio...err staff bring it to your table shortly" :)
"Thank you my good sir", hats off.

"Willy Wonka you say? Are there gonna be lots of chocolate? Is this party also being held in a chocolate factory and we didn't notice??"

Dogmaus: Thank you for the gift! I'll pick up Revenant!
"I don't think they'd like that...they get antsy when touched. Oh, you meant the game? Alright then" GR says, before sending a small errand monkey(actual monkey) with a package to Dogmaus's table.

bluethief: "Thank you my good sir", hats off.
GR tips their own hat(which they didn't have on before, you don't think) before saying "think nothing of it"

bluethief: "Willy Wonka you say? Are there gonna be lots of chocolate? Is this party also being held in a chocolate factory and we didn't notice??"
Um, noooooo? o.0

*GR turns to one of his assistants and whispers* "Dang, how did they find out? Now the whole hauntingly flavorful choco-stravaganza for the finale is likely to be ruined!"

Not in, but thank you as always for the opportunity! :)

That said, I'd still like to answer number 3 and 4.

3. I'd like to travel to a planet with great sceneries and listen to some calming music as I rest my back on its surface.

4. Actually, I'm not really sure about the locale hehe. But for me, I usually celebrate mine and my family members' by having nasi kuning as a breakfast to start the day.

Here's a photo of what nasi kuning actually looks like:
https://www.resepistimewa.com/wp-content/uploads/nasi-kuning.jpg

The main thing about this dish is that it will always have the yellow rice (because nasi translates to rice, while kuning translates to yellow, hence the main dish). As for the side dish, I believe they can be anything. But I usually have my nasi kuning with eggs, chicken, noodles, and some vegetables.

GamezRanker: *GR starts to have some giant(maybe alien) spiders brought in, when he sees the shocked look on matterbandit's face*
I just logged in. It's almost noon here. Crawled out of bed minutes ago, still sleepy-faced. It's my day off work. Read your comment and nearly sprayed my coffee all over the keyboard. ROFL! Unexpected and funny! xD

In reality, spiders fascinate me. Never killed one in my life (not knowingly, anyways). Maybe that's why Webbed appeals to me. ;) But I admit I stopped breathing for a moment when you summoned those giant beasts. LOL!

Thx for the prize, GR. :) And the laughs! Again, Happy Birthday to you!

*matterbandit cusps both hands on each side of his jaw and shouts as loud as he can to the partygoers in the hall*

THANK YOU TOO Doc0075 FOR DONATING 'WEBBED' TO THIS PARTY!

Rumors say that Doc0075 is indeed in the crowd somewhere but no one has spotted him yet. A difficult task to complete with everyone having already consumed their third or fourth Trekkie cocktails.

*a look of slight horror on matterbandit's face when he realized his shouting had drawn the attention of the clan of giant alien spiders back into the hall*

Time to head back towards that bartender for another cocktail...
Nice, happy birthday GR! I'm in for any and all of the categories/prize pools/whatever you want to call them.

1) I know this is blasphemous to most Trekkies but Discovery is actually my favorite of the shows but only by a little bit (topping TOS a tiny bit). To be fair, I've always been a bigger fan of Star Wars so I think the more grandiose, narrative-driven format of Discovery is what really appeals to me. So far, though, I haven't hated any of the shows or the movies (including the Abrams reboots which got me into Star Trek). I feel like Discovery gets hate for the same reason why the Star Wars sequels got hate: people are typically resistant to new stuff and unless it aligns perfectly with their preferences, they'll criticize the living daylights out of it. Not to mention the fact that I think Discovery has the most attractive uniform design in the entire series, even down to the classic-inspired uniform that Pike and the Enterprise crew wore before commandeering the Discovery.

2) The Lorca twist is one of my favorite plot twists ever. I loved him as a character. When the truth was revealed, I was floored, I genuinely did not pick up on it and it just blew me away. To be honest, that reveal was a major solidifying factor for me in regards to my love for that show.

3) If we're talking realistic space travel, I think it'd be exhilarating but terrifying to do a space walk of some kind. However, if we're talking about ST/SW style space travel, I'd love to own some sort of luxury space yacht and make my living as a galactic merchant, seeing countless worlds and living the life.

4) Well, my family still throws miniature birthday parties for everyone, at least most of the time. We'll gather, have dinner, open gifts (at least for the younger family members), have cake and ice cream and then go home. It's a bit of a tradition that seems to be somewhat unique and I love that about my family (despite all of the grief the extended family sometimes unintentionally causes).

5) I'm not much of a fan of Marilyn Manson nor was I ever much of an industrial stuff but I've grown a bit of an ear for some of it lately thanks to Cyberpunk, I've been particularly hooked on Blue Stahli lately. But I digress, the song wasn't too bad, thanks for sharing!

---

And with that, I wish all entrants luck!

3. Tell us what you would like to do if you could go into space
(like in Star Trek or similar shows/media)

4. Tell us how you/your locale like to celebrate birthdays, and/or any special/fun/interesting things you or someone you know did for a recent birthday.

5. (optional, but appreciated) Watch the birthday music video link above near the top of this post, and let me know what ya think.
Happy birthday GamezRanker!!!! I would like to participate in the Trek contest.

1- Star Trek (2009). Why? Because is the one that introduced me to the franchise.

3- Visit Alpha Century and maybe discover a new planet.

4- I used to eat with friends and drink something to celebreate my birthday.

5- I haven't seen that movie in ages, really good song to set the tone.

GamezRanker: Nitpick: It's actually a house (totally NOT haunted) which just so happens to also be a starship, sitting atop a hill (also not haunted)
When you start seeing things like that madness takes its toll. ;-)

Sounds like it'd be nice and relaxing(well, as long as it ain't that one planet from the garden of eden episode of TOS, that is. o.0) :)

I love rice, but not so much certain vegetables......(like yourself) i'd likely put a bunch of different things around my rice if I ever had it. Btw, thanks for sharing the pic/etc with us. :)

matterbandit: In reality, spiders fascinate me. Never killed one in my life (not knowingly, anyways). Maybe that's why Webbed appeals to me. ;)
Yeah, I hear ya.....some things appeal to me so much that I sometimes seek out new media that contain such things.

As for spiders: tbth they fascinate me as well, but they also creep me out a bit and I don't like em around me much.....so when I discover one I usually get it on/in something and take it outside to find a new home there.

matterbandit: Rumors say that Doc0075 is indeed in the crowd somewhere but no one has spotted him yet.

JakobFel: To be fair, I've always been a bigger fan of Star Wars so I think the more grandiose, narrative-driven format of Discovery is what really appeals to me.

Tbh, I think sometimes people have valid criticisms on various things...including entertainment media. That said, I hear ya on some people sometimes disliking things (generally speaking) just because they're new/different.

Both sound very nice, indeed.
(also: speaking of realistic space travel, the game 'Deliver Us The Moon' is very nice)
