Got your own song for a beatin’ to the beat? Feel the rhythm, get free games!

The musically inclined Crypt of the Necrodancer is here, ready for you to get groovin’ to beat the baddies better with your awesome dance skills.

We want to make the DRM-free arrival even more special, and that's why we need your help with creating our unique GOG.com Crypt of the NecroDancer playlist! Pick a tune that would rock some skeleton-socks off and submit it in this thread - later on, we'll take a community vote on the Top 10 awesomest tracks and reward the winners.

1. Pick a song you think would do well as the background for an in-game boss fight. If you're the musical type, it can even be your own song!
2. Post a comment with a link to the song and up to 50 words explaining why it’s the one before the deadline.
3. Win GOG.com game codes!

Bonus challenge: got the game already? Record yourself playing with the song of your choosing to prove that it’s possible. It won't guarantee a win, but we'll throw in an extra bonus code if you make the Top 10!

You have 48 hours - that is until Saturday, August 15th, 1pm GMT to post your entries. We aim to pick winners from across the English, French, German, and Russian forums before the end of next week.

Get jiggy with it!
Alright, I'mma let you finish but SICKICK HAS SOME OF THE BEST BEATS OF ALL TIME! (Plus, he isn't super famous so it is possible to really get the song officially added on the game)

Before the fight the boss says: Stay out of my territory!
David Bowie - "Station to Station"

It's long, but it has a nice buildup followed by a great fast section - perfect for a boss fight! (Hopefully there's no time limit, though... :)
A song about an apocalyptic battle, with 6 minutes of double-bass fury, face-melting guitar solos, and a sterling performance from perhaps the greatest vocalist of all time, the Metal God himself.

CAN'T! STOP! THE PAINKILLER!

(And not sure if it's a + or -, but it WAS used as final boss music in Brutal Legend.)

otavio: No doubt,Spooky Scary Skeletons.Nothings gives the feeling of creeping through a dungeon like the sound of rib cages being used as instruments.

I think we need to pick up the pace a little bit and use The Living Tombstone remix. Same scary song, much better for NecroDancing!
ISM by Savant

Super catchy beat, with the perfect length and melody progression. It is part of the soundtrack for a shooter game that emphasizes skill, rhythm, and finesse as you blast through waves of enemies to the top of the tower and face off with your ultimate rival.

Flight of the Battery by: Ben Briggs

This remix of an already groovy song fits well with Necrodancer. It starts out with a strong beat and doesn't let up.

Vedrim - Bound by Bone

Perfect track to get even the most lazy, uncoordinated or talentless individuals setting their floors on fire! :D

Having listened to the various entries on the list (those that I could access anyways), I'd figure why not throw a song into the fray?

Babymetal - Megitsune youtu.be/cK3NMZAUKGw

I figured with a lot of metal entries, why not try another? This song has a great rhythm throughout and sounds great too. The high energy this song has may bring a challenging session to a boss fight in CotND.

Oh and just for fun, have some more music to groove to :D

Pogo - Murmurs of Middle-Earth youtu.be/XJfGnqKoXYY
World Order - Machine Civilixation youtu.be/r-qhj3sJ5qs

edit: posting giving problems with embedded links, so apologies but copy-pasting will have to be the order of the day...

Libertango / Swingle singers

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uiG5jJavTU

Because when it comes to rythmic movement, nothing can beat a tango, with its beat and contra-beat, and the swingle singers lend this melody a haunting feeling, fitting for a dungeon, and yet a bit tongue-in-cheek, as is proper of this game.
Is it allowed to recommend two songs, or do I have to choose one?
Nitro Fun - Dragonfly

I think it's just the right wacky type of music for this game. I was also thinking about DJ Pygme - Jumper v2.0.

I designate Rammstein - Bück dich
youtube.com/watch?v=l2lc_yWYd5o

"Bück dich!" - German: "Bend over!" There is no more epic way to fight a mighty boss, when hard metal sounds and a dark voice command your enemy to "bend over". ;)
Scissor Sisters - I Don't Feel Like Dancin'

www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H5I6y1Qvz0

Is any comment even necessary? ;-)

The song has a great rythm, perfectly fitting the game, the lyrics make it even better, and the whole thing being a throwback to 80s disco makes it a no-brainer choice for me. :-)
To the Bottom of The sea - Voltaire

The first thing to consider with something like this is how the game is made. Crypt is built around strong EDM base and the game needs that strong thump to allow you to keep time while focusing on the game. I wanted a song that would be a unique challenge (the frequent breaks in the base) while still providing that baseline for reference.

I can't link at the moment, so you're going to have to go search on youtube, it's over there.
