catpower1980: Damn, I'll have to find the "word count" function in LibreOffice :o)

EDIT : WAIT!!!! Do you mean 50 words maximum or minimum?

So you're looking for a cheesy song with a pounding beat about fighting a boss battle?

Mortal Kombat has you covered.
Fitz and the Tantrums - The Walker

Not only does it have a fantastic beat all the way through, but the lyrics also match a quirky adventurer perfectly. There’s also that little breakdown in the middle providing a slight break in the action before ramping it up once more.

Klaus Wunderlich - Tico-Tico

With this song all the monsters would swing around the screen happier than a tornado in a trailerpark.
A song for a boss fight, eh? Well, in that case: Two Steps From Hell - Archangel

Reason? Well, just listen to it! You know it fits :)
Rob Zombie - Superbeast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHBtpqbOKXk

Oh, I guess I'm supposed to include an explanation :p

It just sounds like a boss song. It's intense but as a Rob Zombie song you can dance to it, which seems like it would be important for a rhythm game. It's called Superbeast. The lyrics are kind of mean-sounding.

How about Planet Hell by Nightwish (starting at 1:06)?
The lyrics has perfect examples of taunt that a boss can make (like "Save yourself a penny for the ferryman")... And a few syncopations in symphonic metal soundtrack can't be wrong! ;-)

EDIT: can't post the link :-( let's try this way youtu.be/tvhPMpINYqs?t=66

The first song that comes to my head is Symphony of Destruction by Megadeth
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfpgpf6QVnI

Especially if there is a battle where the boss can conjure up minions to interfere. He would be just like the Pied Pipper and they would be just like marionettes, swaying to the symphony of destruction. Also the tempo is fairly up beat throughout most of the song with a few notable sections that speed it up.
Anything by Cher?

... what?
Breakbeat - Obstruction 77 from the Water Boys Soundtrack
Edit: Forum keeps saying "you cannot post any links at this moment :( boo. So just youtube it.

Funky beat that sounds like a throw-down in a roller-rink discotheque. Has some brief lulls for a breather, and is a perfect length for a boss battle. Goes great with the picture of the boss fight with the instruments on the game's store page.

I made a song.

Growing up in the 90s, I was a fat kid. To shape up, my Ma gave me a Paula Abdul workout video on VHS. Because I wanted to impress girls, I decided to stomp the grounds.

This song is my boss fight with that.
Dimitri's battle music from Sly Cooper 2

If the entries are being listened to, then I don't think anything really needs to be said about this one.
NecroDancer, then what else then Dance of Death from Maiden? :D
[ link was here... ]
Even the tempo is right, a slower lead-in for the adds, then a fast middle section for the boss, with a short slow ending for the finish and for the looting ;)

WTF? cannot post links. So, what's with point 2: post a link with a comment?
maybe with spaces? youtu . be / MZDB0mAMkA4
