Djaron: TL;DR usually never use 2FA on GOG... Manualy disabled it twice, whenever it was activated by default. Last time i checked it was off, but whenever i checked today: it is enabled again.
If memory serves, you can't opt out or disable it as long as you're using (aka have store credit in) the GOG wallet.
you mean as long as i have credit on the wallet ? or only if the credit was purchased, and not coming from regional pricing compensation ?

Just tried it. I was able to disable it with funds in the wallet.

Gone to put it back on.

Hmmm, ok, my bad then... guess they dropped the restriction, but I distinctly remember it being enforced in the early days of 2FA.
