Deja vu, wasn't there a Myst sale last month?

2 months ago (receipt from 2021-06-25), and the discounts were slightly better - paid 4.39 Euro for each of Myst III and IV which cost 5.00 Euro this time.

Per GOGDB, the July Myst sale was at 50% off. There was another one in June, at 60% off, with no requirement to buy everything.

Factor in newsletter codes and the sale is even more underwhelming. Two codes were offered in June and January for 65% off, no bundling requirement.

So three offers in the last 8 months that were superior to this sale's "fantastic discounts". I wonder what word they would use to describe them. Stupendous? Miraculous? Monumental?

I have them on discs and guess I am too dumb as I never got anywhere to speak of. Riding that cart in Riven was nice back in the day. A good portion of patience and lots of note taking needed I suspect.

If you pay a bit more you support the developers and GOG more.

A mystery for the ages.
The promotion lasts until September 2nd, maybe an incoming sale?
Something like an autumn sale?
Likely 'Back To School' sale. We only got a 'Special Sale' on Monday and no 'Weekly Sale'.
so the remake of the first myst game comes out on august 26. this myst sale is likely a precursor to that release.

What's sad is after 20 years and 3x remakes, (Myst -> Myst Masterpiece -> RealMyst > RealMyst Masterpiece) still none of them (even the 2014 one) come with any subtitles...

If this is in preparation for "Myst 1, Attempt #5", then let's hope Cyan fix their trademark "we hate left handed people" controls this time, as both RealMyst Masterpiece and Obduction suffered from the stupid "WASD works as expected but we only mirrored the Up / Down cursor keys onto W/S, the L/R cursor keys 'look' L/R instead of mirroring A/D, thus leaving left-handed players with two ways of looking left & right (one in each hand) but no way of actually moving left / right in either..."

I can't say I was impressed with their And if you ask us to fix the ability to rebind keys that we broke in a patch, we'll mark "Go play something else then" as the solution level of "support" for their buggy new games either...
