I think this thread about the Galaxy-bloated installers and how to avoid them deserves a place in the stickies too:

Shameless self-promotion perhaps, but I wrote a Co8 and Temple+ installation guide for ToEE with the intention of it being default-useful to new players.

Is it sticky quality?

karlbjorkman: Without opening the pandora's box as well, I urge the developers to consider appointing temporary community reps in one-month cycles. Instead of policing the forums, these mods will be granted legitimacy to sticky and open up official content threads, as well as be incentivised to report unwanted content to a trion/trove member to handle (not be able to moderate it themselves!) The idea is to encourage community representation and generate activity on these forums, and organise things in a more visible manner so that the forum does not get flooded. It also serves as a form of prevention for drama (seen more than my fair share in the 2-3 months around here)

do you still update your OP? There haven't been any changes for a looong time, but I really think (as stated previously) that Adalia's Fundamentals should be in that list. They go very well with Barefoot's Essentials.

Also very useful (especially for the Linux crowd) and surely also worth of a sticky sticker, the gogrepo python script. It allows regularly backing up your games while giving you full control over what to download and what not:

For the love of god, please either update the OP, or create a new version (time for 5.0!) and unsticky this one. The OP hasn't been updated in almost four and a half years -- a couple of the threads linked to are now mostly abandoned or irrelevant, and there are many more recent topics that beg for inclusion (including some that are currently stickied in their own right, despite being of very...limited interest to most general forumgoers).
