An old-school RPG will arrive on GOG.COM on 15th January 2020. Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls from XSEED Games revitalizes the time-honored formula of the original dungeon crawler series and adds modernized visuals and sound to the mix.
And now it's time for Gates of Skeldal :)

DoomSooth: Anime Wizardry? Weird. I hope the gameplay and such make up for the character art. Would much rather have Ultimate Wizardry Archives.
+1 !

THANK YOU.

I really wanted this one, and I'm glad I'll be able to get it here.
The common folk: Lets discuss why there is anime in my Wizardry

Me, the aristocratic gamer of great taste: Why talk about the subject whether or not games such as Mount and Blade but everyone is an anime girl should exist on GOG as well?

I'm just trying to jest. Don't take me too seriously (flair checks out) but theres some interesting games coming this year thats for sure and I think that the Animestyle really fits the Wizardry series, though I'm already playing through quite a lot of games that take as long as The Witcher series to complete...

Truth be told I really, REALLY want an Anime Gothic. Just mod Gothic 1 in which everyone becomes a cute anime girl or something, IMHO these ideas are simply hilarious.

dgnfly: Ignore RWarehall he just full of shit and made excuses after the game got rejected. The legal issues only came up on launch day and the rejection was way in advance. Do you think Xseed would offer a game if they were aware of the legal issue in the first place? No company would be that stupid it happened last minute.

RWarehall is a known GOG shill he'll make excuses for everything when it comes to curation and he's ok with all the rejected games and if you even suggest the matter of GOG giving consumers choice he thinks you should just follow in line like communist Russia or be shot for daring to call out curation or GOG in general.
Well, since you're all about choice, respect GOG's choice to honor a majority of their customers' choices, since not doing so may cost them business. They are running a business and they will do what they need to to make sure it flourishes. If that bothers you, remember you also have the choice to go elsewhere, or to stay here and whine and moan about someone infringing your rights while also projecting some pretty spiteful speculation at anyone who doesn't agree with your opinion. If one doesn't like a game and personally doesn't want it sold here, that makes them a communist? Please, your mental gymnastics are so spectacular you should apply for the Olympics.

What about Elminage Gothic?

Ok ok I couldn't resist.

On a more serious note I'm thrilled this Wizardry game is arriving here!! I also echo other users who are wanting other interesting games to get re-evaluated by curation (Agony and Hatred the top two most interesting choices to me).

Looks like an instabuy from me as I love anime wizardry as much as the WRPG-styled original! I would like to see all of the JRPG versions on this platform to be honest!

Also, wizardry has been part of the a JRPG landscape for decades, so it's just as fitting as a proper wizardry title as the original! As I said, there's room for both in my collection!

Do you have numbers saying most GOG users want fewer games? seeing as their going bankrupt financially I'd say I don't really see improvement I see more people moving to different storefronts that do offer choice. But I guess your most likely another one of those people that think fewer games mean more quality while about 500 games are either missing content or updates.

Funny how that whine and moaning got this game released and others that were rejected at first. And the speculation is GOG's own fault seeing as they refuse to be clear what gets a game released here or not and they refuse to be clear or give a statement when asked. Many devs have said that GOG won't be clear why their games get refuse others state it's not up to production value and even Cleve Blakemore game that got rejected because it was ''Too Niche'' is suddenly here and that must have triggered you so much.

The Too niche is GOG's own fault.

Rwarehall was nothing but bugging the Wizardry thread when we discuss the rejecting making excuse so if you want to make excuses against a release and feel people need to shut up when they voice their opinion then yes you are a communist simply cause you can't take criticism and you don't want people voicing their opinion. His idea is to follow GOG's rules and shut up and if you don't like it get lost so interpret it like if you don't like it get shot.

I like GOG for their DRM free and if you get triggered by my opinions I don't care, and if you don't like what I have to say I don't care, all I care about is getting my games DRM free and if that means voicing my opinion I will and I won't let crybabies like you who can't cope with a different opinion or don't like certain games here released cause they think they are the pinnacle of taste, too bad for you it got release now cry in a corner.

They sure aren't profiting of you, seeing as you on GOG since 2012 and you own about less than half of my library on GOG you better put your money where your mouth is and buy some games then.

Be careful naming those 2 games they trigger the GOG community.

Bro, they heard us, they released the game here. That's all that matters. The least we can do to show our gratitude is to not drag our silly little bitchfights from one thread into another. Let's not that please, mmkay?
Took a while, but it finaly made its way here. I'm looking forward to it, here's hoping there will be no more setbacks.
Cool
Wonderful news! Not as good as Tale of the Forsaken Land, but I still enjoyed playing this on my PS3, will pick this up!

Seerrriiiously. We got what we wanted. It's okay to be happy sometimes.
Good, at least that thread that pops up every two-three days, can finally be put to rest.
