Teaser trailer pretty underwhelming and the screenshots don't do justice, but the gameplay actually look pretty promising.

It baffle me that many companies don't give us a decent video trailer to hype potential buyers.

Well, that's sort of the problem with hiring a marketing team. They wear their pants on their head and don't understand a single thing.
They are kissing! He trust her. She will make him fight for love. Interesting story. Old school graphics would not destroy imagination of a player. Time to play after time to wait.
What great news. If you like Nintendo's ''Fire Emblem'' series, you'll definitely like VESTARIA SAGA as well.
Without a doubt, Vestaria Saga I: The War of the Scions is a great title. And this sequel is no exception. Come on Zade, let's get on with the adventure!
I'm glad for some people. I see in the reviews that some people LOVED the first one.

I found it uninspired, dull, boring, repetitive, and frustrating.

Glad the company found a niche. But would it kill you to give players tools to accomplish their goals?
You gotta love promo/teaser videos that actually...don't show anything...

Guess you had to have played the first one, but I hope they think of the NEW audience also for their next video.

Still, more games are always welcome at the GOG store. :)
.
Legend has it they are still typing the name and it takes the player less time to beat the game than to type its title!

Japan is funny. Lately naming stuff is getting REALLY long winded. Making me laugh isnt a bad thing. Thanks Japan!

I did, at least some of them.

I didn't. Not sure why, since they are essentially the same. I got bored and frustrated pretty quickly, to the point of not wanting to play any more. I guess I won't be buying the sequel.
Interesting...
Looks a lot like Fire Emblem. Of course, I have a few mechanical questions:
* Is there weapon durability? (That is, do weapons have a limited number of uses?)
* What's the cost of using magic?
* What happens when a character dies? Can you revive them?
* Is there a way to fight extra battles without progressing the story?

Turn out it was cultural stuff related to young adult novels. In the west people tend to read the back of the book to read the short synopsis of that book to determine if they want to purchase it or not. But Japanese people don't do that so they prefer to write a long, winded title that summarize the book in the shortest sentence possible. When this young adult novels became popular and adapted into anime or TV show they brought along their weird title along with em. Compare that to classic anime series like Slayers, Ranma 1/2, Golden Boy, Mobile Suit Gundam etc etc that more compact and people prefer to check the trailers or reviews.
