rodrolliv: Yeah, legal disputes over publishing is the more likely scenario. Anyway, thanks Psykhophear for posting it.
You're welcome!

Folks, we know that The Sinking City has disappeared from several platforms. Our team is working to fix this. In the meantime, you may purchase the game directly from our website:

I wonder what happened. Was it a bug that caused the game to disappear from GOG and Steam? Makes no sense. Either way, I'm glad they brought it up.
mechmouse: thanks.
is gameplanet legit, it the first place i've seen gog keys sold en-masse
I've played The Sinking City on Nintendo Switch and it works and plays great. Of course, it's on a console so I can't say for certain if it translates well on PC.

Gersen: I don't think it's a bug, otherwise it would have been fixed by now. And Steam and Gog having the same bug seems highly unlikely.
I consider it's more likely it's a "legal" issue, as in they didn't fully read the contract they signed with Epic and did something they shouldn't have, as in, I don't know for example they were authorized to sell the game on their own site after X months but were only authorized to advertise and sell it on competing platforms after X+Y months or something like that.
Yes. I believe it's a paperwork blunder more than technical one.
