GOG.com: ...
I've heard Agony will be showing up too, consider confirming this too for people interested.

fronzelneekburm: IIRC the way you regain hitpoints in this game is by torturing defenseless "sinners" (ie. by ripping out women's fetuses and eating them or by mutilating men's genitals). I guess first aid kits weren't deemed "edgy" enough for this game.

And what about Hatred?

It currently has 5017 votes in the community wishlist and continues to receive new votes (the last one was added just an hour ago).

wolfsite: All this talk is making me want to play Dante's Inferno.... shame that never got a PC version.
Still hoping for a remaster, the game is mediocre at best, but every hack & slay is welcome in my book. :)

I agree!
This and Agony, if it can come here, are absolute must-haves worth breaking a boycott over, imo. More of this please.

*with the specification that I would be buying these SPECIFICALLY to have the DRM-free offline installer. That is the whole point of this store and buying here.

huan: (Knights of Xentar next, please!)

Mr.Mumbles: Now there's a blast from my horny teenage past. Heh. Then again, it actually was a decent JRPG, too. Probably the first one I ever played. Take that, Final Fantasy! =P
Ah, Knights of Xentar was a good one. Although the game was censored here, I managed to find a german uncensored version in the Internet, after I found out, that my version was censored. The uncensored version had a bit stuttering sound, but it was good playable and much fun. It didn`t take itself too serious. :-)
Okay why people complaining? This is close to what hell described, a place for suffering. People forget and start making media about how hell is supposed to be a fun place. Hell is not fun! Hell is there to punish sinner, not sitting in a luau sipping some martini.

So yeah, hell is supposed to make people uneasy. If you can\'t deal with it then play some lego game ffs.
Really love the basic idea, tries to hard to win a gross out challenge for my taste though. I guess I prefer "She will punish them" as my Succubus with anger issues game even if it has a stupid title :P

Aren't Succubi supposed to be, you know, sexy? Capable of seducing men? This thing looks horrid.

Iirc, the Greek tale of the incubi/succubi would say these demons would seduce people in their sleep, so maybe they could make their victims see someone far more beautiful.

Also, if I remember correctly about the promotional materials, the protagonist was heavily injuried at some point in the beginning of the plot. And one of the main ideas of Mad Mind Studios' hell is to be as gruesome, disturbing and shocking as possible, so its inhabitants reflect this, which also influences the protag's appearence.

That or hell is what is personalized to bea persons worst experience a good example I'd say of this is a old Twilight Zone ep I forgot the title but its where this guy believes at first he is in heaven .. Because everything he could ever want is there but their in lies the trap of this hell factor .. the guy meant for hell would soon learn how much suffering ,unease and despairgetting everything going a specific way would bring a person .. ..Basically its a personalized hell scenario that punished the guy in the way he often conned/tricked others if I recall the reason his personalized hell experience was .. Based on.. But then again I could be misrembering why his hell was made like that till he learned the truth because so many other media had done a similar set up..

It's more of a more creative approach where the writer want a more softer torture. Putting hand on a lit fire is painful for everyone and hell is simply a primal pain and torture punishment so painful they can't no longer think. People who wrote hell as mind torture are typical hipster who still think they going to hell but can still get their daily starbuck refill.

Well, they're demons. Embodiment of fire and rage and pain. You don't expect demons to sit in a bar playing some melancholic jazz.

If you watch the 1 hour gameplay video, they're pretty sexy tho

I'd disagree given Rod Sterling's Twilight Zone scenario was not a hipster era thing granted Rod Sterlings stuff was often social commentery even in tv series he often made them timeless in writing ..So he might have used the writing style of those sorts or seen such and redid it also found the ep and its named ''A Nice Place To Visit'' Anyway for most I can indeed see as hipsters writing such but Rod Sterling never got involved in stuff he found to be that sort of nonesense as far as I am aware..But ya I sorta misremember abit of that ep but not the majority of it

Ah, another game to portray hell as being blistering hot and things mentioned here just sounds like what we usually see or hear about on animal documentaries or people that aren't so civilized. Little more than beasts acting on instinct. .. some of that torture crap is hardly worse than some of the worst BDSM kinksters....

Need more ideas of what Hell would be than just firey... Some say it's freezing the deeper you go. Some think it's a desolate place where only the empty soulless drag on for eternity with no rest. Some say it's reliving your death ( if it was a terrible one ) and witnessing many others.. perhaps even dying themselves over and over again.. just to be woken up to have it happen again and again.

I'm disappointed with what I see with this game. I had been waiting for more info on it for a good while but this isn't really doing anything that isn't already done many times over with a different coat of paint.

Wake me when there's more interesting games on succubi... *yawns*
I'm pretty sure that early/medieval Christians probably considered Hell to be a dark, gloomy place removed from the light of God, basically the same as the Greek Underworld (Hades) but I doubt they ever considered that it would be as bad as these modern interpretations of Hell which portray a realm of sadistic eternal torture, where the very environment is corrupted and flesh-like.

I think it was really Dante Alighieri who popularized the eternal torture concept in Divine Comedy. And then you've got modern stuff like Event Horizon, Warhammer 40k that depict "Hell" as a dimension of pure, primordial evil and chaos (which granted is far more terrifying than some underground place ruled by a fallen angel).
