The undead classic Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse is available in pre-order on GOG.COM!

It’s 1959 and the city of Punchbowl, PA, is a beacon of progress and ideal living. As Stubbs the Zombie, you’ll show the living that law and order are no match for a dead man on a mission.

Kristian: This COULD be a good sign regarding Embracer Group not going in an anti-GOG direction. Embracer Group's actions can have a big impact on the GOG catalog of games in the future. Best case Embracer goes all in on GOG and many more games will come here, worst case Embracer will abandon GOG and we will lose a bunch of games.

I suppose a middle ground of Embracer letting it be up to the individual studios and groups within the company is most realistic. That could go either way for GOG. For example to what extent have publisher agreements and things like that kept some Gearbox games from GOG or to what extent is it their own skepticism/hostility?

Now of course the acquisition won't magically make obligations go away, but Embracer can easily afford to buy Gearbox out of various obligations end encumbrances on their freedom. Also they are less dependent on entering into new publishing contracts that bind them down alot.
According to Wikipedia, "Embracer Group has eight operative groups as its direct subsidiaries: Amplifier Game Invest, Coffee Stain Holding, DECA Games, Easybrain, Gearbox Entertainment, Koch Media, Saber Interactive and THQ Nordic. Each group has its own operations, subsidiaries and development studios."

"Embracer Group announced three major acquisitions in February 2021: The Gearbox Entertainment Company including Gearbox Software for a price of $1.3 billion for which it will become the seventh major holding label within Embracer,[39] Easybrain for $640 million which will become the eighth major holding label,[40] and Aspyr Media for $450 million which will be a subsidiary under the Saber Interactive label.[41]"

I'll try to remember to read more later.

Wow.... 10$ at best and not even that. More like 6$. 20$ is rather ridiculous.

Sidetrack however, does anyone know when in spring is Mechwarrior 5 coming to GOG?

Crimson-X: ...
Thanks. Yeah $20 is too much imo, though I understand if they had to put an unusually high price tag to pay for soundtrack licensing renewal or whatever. $10 is most appropriate, maybe $15 which Mafia 1's price is, though Mafia 1 doesn't even have the music. :-/
20$ is indeed quite steep.
I remember that back in the days at some point one could grab the disc version for a regular price of 5€ .

Let's just hope, they adapted it for moden computers at least. Also being available in the MS store they had to comply to some standards in order to publish.
Not to sound unappreciative and spiteful but: Took your sweet F**king time, This'll be easier then looking up torrents.
I have never heard of this game, but it does look like a lot of good old fun.

Well, don't buy it here and get one of those discs if you're not happy. :S

darthspudius: get one of those discs
I already did. But if they DID adapt it to modern systems, I might wait for a sale and grab it then, saves me the download of a crack and tweaking dgvoodoo.
