Silver Chains is coming soon and DRM-free.

After his car hit a tree in a stormy night, Peter wakes up in an old abandoned mansion, somewhere in England. He can´t remember why and how he got here, but soon he realises that the house is not as abandoned as it seems. While trying to find a way out of the house, Peter has to uncover the dark secrets of what has happened in this place.
And you lost me at evil I can't fight.
So original.
"Hello jumpscare, my old friend...
I've come to shit my pants for you again..."
Nope.
Featuring the voice of Ricky Schroder.

Or was that Silver Spoons?
It says "Dairy" on the book in one of the screenshots. The horrors of milk and cheese?!?

I want this. Sure, we get the usual "oh, ANOTHER one of these, 'evil I can't fight', blah, blah, blah, I WANT YOU TO MAKE VIDEO GAMES FOR ME ALONE, VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY! I WANT TO KEEP REPLAYING RESIDENT EVIL OVER AND OVER AGAIN!" Well, you know what? You CAN replay Resident Evil over and over again, no need to keep "demanding" the studios to cater to YOU and make the games YOU want. Don't want this game? Don't care about these kinds of games? It's legitimate, and no one should try to convince you you have any sort of obligation to enjoy them. But what's the point of coming into a release thread just to childishly complain about stuff that has no relevance whatsoever? When the game releases, those of us who want to play it will buy it, those of you who dislike it don't need to bother. And it's fine. You have games better suited to your preferences, play those, comment on those; we get it, you like horror but are "tired" of these walking-sim types of horror games. Fine. Some of us like them, deal with it.

As for me, I'm definitely getting this as soon as it releases, as I loved pretty much all of the games the devs say inspire them, and it looks downright gorgeous. So, thanks, GOG, for letting those of us who may be less vocal than the usual constant whiners but who like -- and buy -- the games purchase them in our store of choice.

groze: I want this. ...
^^^ +1

I feel a love-hate for horror games.
Wishlisted for now, as there is not much info about the game.
I'll buy it - for sure- if the sys requirements are OK for my machine.

Sounds interes... oh wait it's first person.

Look, IRL, I can turn my head fast enough to not get hit by a car going 88 mph. I can't move the FOV camera that fast. In fact, I'd rather not move the FOV at all. It's not scary, it's just unfairly tedious.

That's why you use a mouse, not a controller. If you use a mouse, you absolutely can move the camera as fast as you can turn your head in real life. This is exactly why controllers objectively suck for FP games.

a) Why I SHOULDN'T come to this thread to complain on things which I don't like about the game? Negative comment can actually be positive thing you know?

b) Number of Resident Evil-like games was heavily outnumbered by Amnesia/Outlast like games. And speaking of Resident Evil and negative comments...

c) Game mentions Resident Evil and Silent Hill as some inspirations, and in those games you could fight. Why the hell did they mention those series (and I specify series, as in multiple titles) if you don't have gameplay of those games? For atmosphere? Okay, but... meh.

d) I want the studio to make games for me, by that I expect them that they make game which they themselves want to make. And lastly...

e) Don't have a problem with people liking these games. Hope you enjoy your playthrough of this game: )
hmm, was this the recent game discussed that was more escape the house than scary? i may be muddled, havent had my coffee yet. i dont care if its derivative, most games are just clones of other block busters, i does look scary as crap
