Prepare for a sci-fi colony sim that became an instant indie hit. RimWorld from Ludeon Studios is coming soon on GOG.COM. The game generates an abundance of stories by simulating factors like ecology, combat, climate, diplomacy, interpersonal relationships, art, medicine, trade, and much more.

Pangaea666: Great news that it is finally here. Always seemed odd that it wasn't. I've already bought it directly from the developer Ludeon (DRM Free, woot), but it's good news to see it here.

Will it be Linux supported here too btw, like from Ludeon?
Check out the game page; seems like Linux will be supported, unless they drop it at the last second. :-/
Oink! That looks interesting and it would even run on my crutch. Wishlisted.
Wait... you can train cougars?

I thought they were supposed to train you. Know what I mean? Know what I mean? Nudge nudge. Nudge nudge. Know what I mean? Say no more...know what I mean? ;)
Wahhoooooo
Fantastic news! Thanks GOG for bringing this gem here, drm-free. Insta-wishlisted for now until release. I am brimming with joy! ;)
low rated

No it isn't unplayable without mods. That must be the most retarded comment I've ever read.

RimWorld is fine without them. There are a lot of good mods out there which improve the amazing base game. Personally I have only used a few QoL mods to date.
i dont use mods because

1) i cannot be assed
an'
2) if you need mods to fix teh game, it aint worth it to begin with

i totes get sumtimes mods can help bring a completed game back to life or whatevs, but often times its like... oh heres a new game, download all these mods for it

lulz nope
