Prepare for a sci-fi colony sim that became an instant indie hit. RimWorld from Ludeon Studios is coming soon on GOG.COM. The game generates an abundance of stories by simulating factors like ecology, combat, climate, diplomacy, interpersonal relationships, art, medicine, trade, and much more.
Oh dear. And it has Linux support, too.
Well, I wasn't doing anything with my life anyway, so no big loss that I won't be seeing much of it anymore... ;P

Doc0075: Great, I've been holding off buying this on Steam in the hope it would arrive here one day. Insta-buy when it pops.
Same for me, this game is on my radar for a long time but I didn't want to buy it with DRM. Now I can buy it without DRM, thank you gog!
pls offer ost like steam

"I’m pleased to announce that RimWorld is finally coming to GoG.com! It’ll be available March 3, along with the Royalty expansion."

Very cool. :)
I was going to ask about how soon "coming soon" might be. Thanks for the probable timeline.
How does this game compare to Dwarf Fortress? Which by the way, I think is the best game of all time (And I still don't have a 100% feel for how the game works LOL)

It's kind of similar, but with better graphics. :D

You can sink many 100's hours into it.
Hey hey people
Gog Connect pls
for base game and dlc

Rimworld is an amazing game. I think I'm at about 2000 hours. The mods definitely help add to the greatness after many vanilla runs.
The Oregon Trail elements of hunting or face starvation, plus the food poisoning if cooked improperly hit the nostalgia well for me.
Nice catch, guys. I bought Rimworld through Ludeon's direct channel years ago and have had all kinds of fun. It really is Dwarf Fortress's simpler but less obtuse and more game-like little brother.
rimmmmmmmmmmm

_ChaosFox_: The quest system of this game is just begging to be called "RimJobs".
RimJobWorld is a mod. Use caution when looking it up.

You know, I can get aroused by a lot of odd things, but limbless cartoony blob-people is not one of them. =P
Great news that it is finally here. Always seemed odd that it wasn't. I've already bought it directly from the developer Ludeon (DRM Free, woot), but it's good news to see it here.

Will it be Linux supported here too btw, like from Ludeon?

Edit: I found the title and see that it is. Cheers, that is good =)
