Interesting. Two weeks delay is a pretty good deal if this is what it takes to get a DRM free version of new releases.

Now get your problems with patches sorted out and we can be friends again ;P

I had to do a double take when I saw this pop up. I'm completely fine with the 2 week delay since I have a few other games that are still taking up my time. I'm just glad it's dropping here. Day 1 purchase.

The two-week delay is an absolute blessing in disguise: By the time the gog version launches, there will be plenty of player feedback and reviews. You'll get a more up-to-date build, you'll have reviews and you can still get your pre-order perks, even though the game launched already. I see nothing but positives here.
I was thinking the same thing, but the pre-order bonus is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. And will they be supporting this version of the game, or is it destined to end up on your GOG mix?

Regarding their 14 day release shift for the GOG version... - well i see the positive side of it - we get hopefully a better polished release/first patches already and they wont be able to blame potentially bad sale figures on a drm free release

Amazing how some people find a way to never be happy. Until today, there was no word that GOG release was even happening. Suddenly it is here, with very tiny delay, but it is still not enough.

Regarding Linux, unfortunately they were not able to technically make it possible. It happens. Plans change. There is no ill will.

I was thinking about this delay. If I was a developer, I might consider doing this to avoid day 1 bad reviews. Because unlike somewhere else, people can't change their reviews here.

Well, if I ever have a PC that can run it I'll be sure to check it out :P At least by that time it will be a full game and with a discount rather than a very expensive pre-order.

I'm not saying it's not an improvement for some publishers in comparison to their usual situation. But compare it to those who treat all users with respect and release everywhere at once. Sure, good thing it's coming out at all, but things can improve further too in this regard. Nothing wrong in pointing it out to the publisher at hand.
