An isometric RPG for all cyberpunk fans draws near. Gamedec is coming soon DRM-free on GOG.COM.

Become a game detective, who solves crimes inside virtual worlds. Use your wits to gather info from your witnesses and suspects, getting to the bottom of the most deceptive schemes. The game will continually adapt to your decisions and never judge them.

zeffyr: Holy cow, what an amazing project! Backed! :-D

TrueMatt: Thanks mate!
Only after I'd backed (with Telesenser tier, my voice line is going to be in the game! :D) I realized devs are from Poland. Amazing!

i_ni: "Gamedec" is boring and doesn't sound right; how about "Game/daq" (slash not obligatory)?
avatar
Breja: "Gamedec" is a in-universe term for a private detective who deals with game-related crimes. What the hell would a game "Gamedaq" be? A pretentious virtual duck?
Someone that acquires digital property? (by means of investigation)
---
The Quick Gamedaq jumped over the lazy Gamedec
They fell off the Game Plane
Game Over.
Man, gameover.

TrueMatt: We've just got funded on Kickstarter!

A full update can be found in the Updates section on Kickstarter :)
Grate news!
Sorry, with all the fuss about oil I can't support you on Kickstarter. But I will buy your game here. Definitely!
From the kickstarter pitch:
The Deduction screen aggregates all clues collected during your investigation in your current case, and it helps navigate towards a conclusion. The important thing is that there is no fail state of the matter - revelations you find can present moral dilemmas, just like in real life. There is no "bad" choice - you decide how you want to end your case.

Characters involved in the story will respond to your decision according to their own beliefs. Let's say you've gather enough clues to accuse someone of doing a bad thing, but you will not do it. It might change that NPC's behavior towards you, thus unlocking the new paths/choices in the future, and the other paths will disappear for this playthrough
Reminds me of Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments (the best detective game ever made). My biggest problem with Disco Elysium was that it's impossible to fail solving the murder, rendering all of your past decisions throughout the investigation pointless except for roleplaying. Challenging the player to not only search for clues, but to also identify the right conclusions sounds very appealing to me. Backed without hesitation.

Good luck, I hope the game is a success, can't wait to play it.

Is it an actual isometric rpg with the proper systems isometric rpgs have, like abilities and skills and such, or is it an adventure game with branching choice-tree? I did not see any UI in the trailer.
