Who is the deadliest of them all?

Black Mirror is coming soon to GOG.com.
A re-imagining of the beloved gothic horror adventure series by the creators of The Book of Unwritten Tales. When his father commits suicide, estranged son David Gordon ventures into Scotland and the isolated family castle, only to find himself pulled into a maelstrom of sinister forces, deadly secrets, and nightmarish visions.

Watch the spooky trailer.

tburger: I wonder if they will remove original version once remake is released

Painted_Doll: You mean the trilogy ? THQ Nordic wouldn't do that .
I was thinking rather about 1st part....And I also do hope they will not use Baldur's Gate pattern

You sure? Darksiders 2 (original) is not available on GOG anymore even though many people do have problems with the Deathinitive edition.

You are right . I forgot about that .

To stay fair they did not remove the original of Darksiders 1 so maybe it is just a mistake that will be fixed ... sometime. In addition to that while DS2 and DS2 Deathinitive are quite similar I highly doubt this in the case of Black Mirror. So in general I think we have a good chance that they will keep the original here as well.
I don't believe GOG will remove the original Black Mirror games, they are separate entities. This isn't a remaster of the first game but a new game based on the original property. Sort of like the reboot of Alone In The Dark.

I'm wondering if we can look forward to other obscure horror title reboots now. When might we get Dark Fall: The Refallening or The Cat Lady 2: Octopussy? ^_^

nightcraw1er.488: Nah, I just occasionally pop in and look at the days "release", and I don't have to look far for something to complain about. Pretty much everything is a spiral downward into another shovelware site. Mind you, its saving me a fortune.
Hadn't realised there was a new rule, only post positive GOG fanboy items on this forum.
If you can't make the difference between someone asking for constructive discussions and a what you see as a "fanboy" then it pretty much makes my point. Anyway, back to the game release as this is over for me.

Wohooooo Black Mirror coming to GOG :)

And it is no remake of the old Black Mirror so there is no reason to remove the old Black Mirror titles :)
I wasn't really aware the Black Mirror games needed a remake. The second and third one, at least, aren't even that old. And since they're primarily 2D games, with pre-rendered/painted backgrounds, I think they've aged quite well.

I'll keep an eye on this anyway, since I enjoyed the original games, and I'm always open for some more spooky adventure games. Any ( price ) advantages for owners of the original trilogy?

Vainamoinen: I'm sure it's all AAA third person 3D in there, thus justifying such horrendous system requirements. Unless, of course, they were wasting their entire budget on OOC cinematics with colorful cookie clutter Pixar looks? Well, we can't know, because even though the full release is only two months off, I haven't seen actual gameplay anywhere.

Painted_Doll: The magic word is Unity . ;)
Is Unity that inefficient? Or is it just a matter of how devs use it?

Nah, this isn't just some graphics update. It seems to be very different from the old Black Mirror games, so it wouldn't make sense to replace them.

I've wishlisted it for now because the genre and setting appeal to me. Will there be more info on the gameplay soon?

But it's a reason (if you happen to own the original) for some *cha-ching* discount; eh? EH?! :P

Good to hear ThomNG.

I think my self-imposed spending limit is going to be broken on release day! :-)
I'm not a fan of horror anymore but I might get it in the future when I run out of games in German, as I am learning the language and adventure games are proving useful. The trailer does not say a thing about the gameplay so what there really is to say.
Was this reboot really necessary?
far out, I have the original. I had no idea. :P
