The year is 50 B.C. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans. Well, not entirely…

The Gauls are back and coming soon to GOG.COM in Asterix & Obelix: Slap them All!, a brand-new 2D horizontal scrolling Beat Them Up game, completely hand-drawn and made in the purest tradition of the genre.

Go to the Camp Delirium and ask for Lucius Minus. He'll take you from there.
Interesting. Does this have split-screen co-op?

And speaking of Asterix, could we eventually get Asterix: The Gallic War? Remember playing that on PC ages ago and really liked it.

Probably will have to get me a Passierschein A38 as well, won't I?

No, you will need the new Passierschein A39, as defined in the Rundschreiben B65.
Great! Now all we need is the confirmation of the release on GOG of "The Smurfs - Mission Vileaf".
Looks fantastic. Actually, it looks a lot like an arcade game that ate up a shitload of my money one summer, long ago. But I hope this is a bit more forgiving :D
Incredible visuals, like playing a cartoon. :)
I'm a sucker for beat'em ups and this one looks cool. Hope the gameplay is great.
Wishlisted.
This is either going to be absolutely amazing or absolutely crap

I'm hoping for the former, but this really has the look of a mobile phone game.

Please be good, please be good...
Ooh definitely my cup of tea :D However, I don't know about anyone else, but there is something ever so slightly off about Asterix and Obelix's appearance, and the other characters too to an extent. Like it's a 90% faithful replication/adpation of Uderzo's style. Perhaps it's just the lines that are too thin for my taste.
Dunno, something is just bugging me about it. Do the characters look a little lifeless to anyone else?

2D hand-drawn art (in the style of the comics) in this day and age? Color me interested.

Judging by the screenshots alone, I'd say it does... but without the "split".

I feel exactly the same way about it, but I don't think the characters are the only ones that are lifeless. The backgrounds too are a little bit off.
Everything is a little too "clean", too smooth. I think it is related to the fact that everything was probably drawn with a graphics drawing tablet, or something like that, and they did not manage to render a most traditional art style like the old Asterix comics had.

Anyway, I agree that those graphics seem to be 90% faithful to Uderzo's style.
Unfortunately, for me, the lacking 10% take a lot off the visual aspect of the game.

Let's hope it will be more faithful to the comics in spirit, and fun to play.
Yes, Amazing! I hoped this would come here. I'm always so glad to see a beat 'em up released here.
