Hey blues, that's a lot of links to game cards you could have made.
โค๏ธ Indies โค๏ธ

While I have fun with the occasional big budget title, I've definitely gotten more and more enjoyment out of the indie scene over the years, particularly in the last decade or so. Keep on truckin', you lovely peeps! :)

It's interesting to note, that in many ways today's indies remind me more of the early/mid-'90s gaming scene - not the whole retro aspects too many chase - which was full of small teams being able to make some terrific games with not terribly big budgets without the bullshit cookie-cutter design.

Or, you know, you could simply mosey on over to the 'dedicated partner page' that's linked at top and bottom. *shrug*

Or to the promo page, which GOG also does not bother to link to and which at least for me is more useful than these "partner" pages.

Moving on…

I was thinking the same thing. Seemed really odd to me that none of those titles linked to the games.

Gog hits a new low when both those groups have been fingered for being corrupt and the sjw attack on gamers.
Gog went broke so went woke but itchio has that market cornered.
I looked at the IGF website and out of the (not that many) ones that I've played (at least demos) the only one I hope wins is Rainy Season (wishlist) in best student game. Haven would be one for excellence in audio more than narrative IMO. Creaks would make more sense in the design category. It is rediculous that a game made by the largest game company in the world qualifies as "independent" (Biped, as the developer seems to be a studio of Tencent).

Yeah... They were on the sales page. But the links being close to what they were nominated for or won would have been the good feature there, rather than "here's the master list of all the games GOG has involved with IGF and GDCA this year".
Oh, cool.
A bunch a games I've never heard of, and two I've only heard in passing.

Aside from a pithy blurb, might it be too much to ask a more forthcoming description of the games and their raison d'être for being nominated?

And Cyberpunk 2077, which I feel honestly deserves no rewards.

I'll note: One of the titles has a 3.8 on GOG, but I won't say which.
I have no idea who "Independent Games Festival" is and I do not care what they think. Just more examples of self-proclaimed indie weirdos telling people what games are "good". And the games they always choose are the artsy games that have minimal actual gameplay.
