Two new amazing games from KEMCO just joined our catalog: Asdivine Dios and Asdivine Menace.

Now on GOG – check them out!
First: Kemco is only the publisher, Exe Create Inc. is the developer for these games.
I must confess, that I am nuts for those retro J-RPG's. That's the reason I own 48 of their published games on another platform (grins...yes, that platform that is way faster than this one and I don't give a damn about DRM) not counting the other on said platform that I've refounded. Refounded because even for my low expectations they are just uuuurgghh.

The now *new* games I finiised in 2022...they are not bad but remember ALL of the games are casual ones.

As for Chroma Quaternion...It was one I couldn't finish because it was way to childish for me.

Oh, speak of the devil ^^... Master Schnuff, your disciples humbly await your feedback, advices and (tiny) bits of wisdom on the current subject ! O great survivor, ye who spent numerous years grinding in the depths of Kemco (or, indeed, Exe) games, tell us about the rigorous training you underwent to overcome their content with not only a steeled mind and a strong iron heart, but even - good gracious - with some occasional waves of gaming pleasure !

Yes, but it's the fan favorite on Switch. Really don't care if it is childish. I'll play kids games on my PC if they're fun like Smurfs or Care Bears. I have plenty of Grim death gore pain blood hell games that I can play if I want "mature" like Sin Spire or King Exit for example, which just got officially translated in English.

Switch is a child console, so obviously no issue there.

Although my sisters children are owning a PS5, so, even a PS5 can be played by children.

Regarding the "quality" of those games, especially this genre which is for me "Retro Style RPG":

I currently got 18 of them out of around 600 PC-games stored on my library, this is about 3% of the entire library. Out of those 18 there are 6 "RPG Maker-games", so only one of three is a RPG-Maker engine inside this genre. In total only pretty exactly 1% of the entire library is using this engine.

Despite me being a big RPG gamer and not trying to avoid them. I was even buying several Kagura-games (this is as well a publisher, not a developer... i still call them Kagura-games) i had in mind are pretty solid... despite having such a big "storm" of moaning people who are hating Kagura-games and perhaps are/was boycotting GOG because they was allowing for Kagura-games to be published.

So, i tried hard getting some of the best "Kagura-games" yet... it was only 4 i was putting in my library and 2 more RPG-maker games, so not a big number, yet i feel those are pretty solid games... way better than those "Exe-Create-Kemco games". Still, somehow i feel i would miss something not adding the Kemco-games as well.. at least some good examples of them.

Anyway, there was sometimes some big moaning about many of those games but in the end the "influence" or "contamination" they did was or is rather minor if we look at the whole cookie.

Despite this fact... to me at least... Kagura still seems "blocked" on GOG (so they are not allowed releasing any new titles anymore) and Kemco apparently is still allowed... because either no RPG-Maker games or... perhaps no adult-games... i dunno. The quality itself... in average... is not any better, i would say.

The switch is not a child console sir, there are still a lot of hentai games and otherwise on there. Stuff you won't even find on other platforms. Also, No they are not made with RPG Maker. EXE Create have their own in-house engine that they use for these. Yes Kagura have some good ones but those ARE made in RPG maker. Demons Roots would be one of the best. King Exit just released in English but it became exclusive to DLSIte this time.

While true most still view Nintendo as the''family friendly /childs console'' do to while yes most console generations they had teen and M rated games on them, that both tended to be the minority outside I think the gamecube, but also they have largely marketed every in a 'family friendly /child demographic '' way even more adult 3rd party games and most of the teen and adult focused gamers didn't get focused on usually

Nintendo has been focusing more on the mature market lately though. They've gotten a lot of more mature games on the platform than the original Switch had, so it's a bit unfair to call it a family friendly platform generally because of their first-party games.

with that argument one can say they never was given the kind of things they did before arcade/video games

As I pointed out for basically all Nintendo's console generations as a whole is known for specific game times even third party ones thus known as a family friendly and child console , Even the more mature games often had more family friendly adverts compared to other consoles adverts of the same game.

Basically its a image Nintendo caused is my point so its quite fair to view the consoles as such as its not just Nintendo's fault but also how Xbox and PlayStation is marketed as the more mature choices and known for less family friendly ips..

So in essense its basically a deserved reputation even if not as factual as assumed

Anyway on topic I do like these games as a simple sort of jrpg ''comfort food''

It can not be released anywhere... it is banned on Steam, banned on GOG... it is so hardcore, no one can handle it.

Nope. The dev delisted it. Poor quality English translation and censorship issues. The new version of the game has a redone translation and is the one I'm referring to. There was never any kind of ban.
Still censorship issues? Translation is OK now?

So, DLSite which now works with Visa/MC again just fine BTW, sells the game for about nine dollars. It has been fully retranslated from the ground up. I got it on discount for just five dollars.
Just bring it over to GOG. I dunno why it need to be hidden on some sites not even me knowing its existence... well, barely now.

Ah... yeah no, Kagura can not do that duty anymore, as it seems.

I mean, if they are gonna ban it then at least i seem to be "right" once again... at least try it out.
