The big annual event starts on 18th August yet we on GOG start the celebrations of QuakeCon early this year. To help you get into the mood, we’ve prepared a Special Sale that includes great games from Bethesda up to 80% off and lasts until 22nd August, 5 PM UTC.
Offline installer is 404'd.

Trying to install via Galaxy leads me to the Redeem Code page...

Jesus Christ...
Quake 1 was out in 1996, not 1998

please fix

Prah: If they didn't fix it back then, they will probably never fix it.
I don't doubt it has been going on for quite a few years, but like I said, I imagine it is down to manually entering the necessary entries in a database, and not really a bug as such ... unless the bug is related to manually entering the entries into the database, but then I am sure we would see a lot more of this issue if that were the case.

I suspect it is a case, where GOG are short staffed enough at times that things either get missed (skipped) or the person doing them doesn't exactly know what they are doing.

It probably wouldn't take much to fix each instance, but they would need to assign a dedicated person, and also need a list of such games, as it would be a nightmare to discover these instances. Perhaps we could help out by providing a list, though if they are constantly struggling with staff numbers and or skill sets, then likely it will never be a priority.

fronzelneekburm: Are you sure these are new packages, as opposed to them renaming the old packages and changing the store page description?
Gogdb lists them as separate games.

Aha. Now I've got Doom 1 Enhanced as a new game.

fronzelneekburm: Aside from the fact that the enhanced re-releases still aren't available on gog, those "Previously sold as" parts may be true of Steam, but on gog those were always part of the Doom 2 package (which was sold as "DOOM II + Master Levels")

This reeks of mindless copypasting. As far as the enhanced rereleases are concerned: I'll believe it when I see it.
... those "previously sold as" items were also sold as physical disks. So the text isn't wrong.

Ey, Doom I Enhanced appeared in my account. Does this port run under Unity? Because as usual with this thing, with the vsync on, the game runs weird and uncomfortable.

Glad to have the enhanced edition here, indeed it offers a bundled mod/maps/chapters/extras downloader, pretty convenient for myself. You need to create your Bethesda Account, though, I guess.

Should I understand that the Doom II version will be the next? Quake Enhanced as well, finally?
Yes, it's an Unity engine port, without exclusive fullscreen mode support

DooM II will be next soon, servers are not fast today, sometimes gog site is very slow

Indeed, Doom II appeared in my Library, right now
Enhanced versions of Doom I & II also appeared in my library !
Yup, both appeared in my library, can be installed via Galaxy and have working offline installers. Nice!

Here's to hoping that the same will happen with Doom 3 in the coming days (I don't dare to even hope that Quake EE shows up here during this sale)

Great to see the Enhanced Doom games finally show up, thanks! I really hope Doom 3 original is coming soon, and Quake Remastered!

(If Doom 3 original does show up, imo you really should rename the game in the catalog somehow so people know. If nothing else just rename it to "Doom 3" like on Steam)

As others (GOG users and colleagues) have already said, the DOOM II Enhanced version is now also available on GOG. Not long ago the Quake versions were updated on Steam. So it is likely that we will soon see the Enhanced versions of Quake on GOG.

Edit.-
I'd love to be able to port some of my Steam titles to GOG, including the Quake series.
But I think that will be impossible (at least for the moment). :(
