The big annual event starts on 18th August yet we on GOG start the celebrations of QuakeCon early this year. To help you get into the mood, we’ve prepared a Special Sale that includes great games from Bethesda up to 80% off and lasts until 22nd August, 5 PM UTC.

Timboli: And like others have said, most of us have all the Bethesda on offer at GOG for ages, so nothing new for the majority of us.

Or maybe GOG don't realize that, as a good number of them are not showing as owned, when they are.

Despite having all elements of Dishonored: Complete Collection, it shows as not owned.
Despite having all elements of Prey: Digital Deluxe Edition, it shows as not owned.
Despite having all elements of The Evil Within: Season Pass, it shows as not owned.
Despite having all elements of Wolfenstein II: The Freedom Chronicles - Season Pass, it shows as not owned.
Despite having all elements of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Digital Deluxe Edition, it shows as not owned.

Of course, the same can be said for many other games at GOG, just look at The Witcher 3 situation for instance.
This is an old bug, it's been around since I joined GOG back in 2012. Believe me, it will never be fixed!

MysterD: There's also Skyrim: Anniversary Edition also which has a bunch of Paid Mods in there bundled w/ it too.

amok: Ah, yes, that's right. I keep forgetting about that. it is the only Skyrim-something I do not have, as it was rather pointless
I could use a good excuse to get back to Skyrim at some point - and more new content is always that good excuse. So, I'd buy Skyrim: AE on Steam if it ever gets like dirt-cheap - think like $5 or so.

And it might take a while for it to get that cheap - so yeah, I can wait.

Ganni1987: I have a feeling Doom 2016 is coming afterall. GOG just changed the original Doom entry from "The Ultimate Doom" to " Doom 1993" possibly to avoid confusion with the upcoming release?

I only hope I'm right :)
I'd love to see Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal: Complete hit GOG.
Especially DRM-FREE and w/out any Bethesda.Net stuff.

Same also goes for RAGE 1: Complete, RAGE 2: Complete Edition, Skyrim: Anniversary, Quake 1: Enhanced, and anything else you can think of from Bethesda and/or Id Software that has not hit GOG yet.

CarChris: Would it be possible to buy Doom 3: BFG, but NOT include Doom 1 and 2? I don't want to have in my library games that I will never play. I can't stand so old graphics.
Doom 3: BFG is packaged with Doom 1 and 2, so you ain't getting around that.

But, if you want old-school Doom 1 and 2 w/ new graphics features and/or controls, why not try a Source Port like GZDoom or something? You can always take the Doom 1 and 2 WAD's from Doom 3 BFG and use them in a Source Port.

And on the Doom 3 BFG Edition page, we have a blank bullet entry at the end. Not sure if that was there before ... or maybe we have the original Doom 3 incoming.

We can but hope for that too.

Gawd, who knows, maybe we will get the Trifecta .... perhaps even more.
Edit: Nevermind

It's likely a manual entry thing (entries in a database) and not a bug, because instances would have to be coded for, and all the games I listed have only appeared at GOG in recent years. Everything in this regard is likely down to a database lookup. Certainly if I was coding it, that's how it would be, as automation without that would be a pain to code for.

I'm pretty sure I have seen instances where such collections of games and DLC are indicated as owned correctly.

I reckon we would certainly notice a lot more of these instances if not.

Off the top of my head I cannot recall too many instances, but the following other two for starters.

The Witcher 3 and DLC when you have the Game Of The Year version.
Shadow Warrior 2 when you have the Deluxe Edition.

FulVal: This because the re-release version is here too now, but for some reasons is not updating here, i will try to wait more times...
You know what would be hilarious? If Bethesda had sent gog their new updated store page blurb for the Doom games and gog had simply copypasted them without realizing that these descriptions don't apply to the versions currently sold on gog at all. xD

I certainly wouldn't put it past them.
I can see the new game packages on gogdb, in the store search (which lists the new packages as owned), but not in my library.

This first occured with Omerta: City of Gangsters in 2013, where Omerta: City of Gangsters Gold Edition won't show up as owned if you own the base game (+4 DLCs) and the separate Japanese DLC separatetly instead of directly having bought the Gold Edition.

If they didn't fix it back then, they will probably never fix it.

Can you link that?

edit: I see the re-release of DooM1 in my library, for now i don't want to install that

DooM II for now is the same

Are you sure these are new packages, as opposed to them renaming the old packages and changing the store page description?

Even the descriptions themselves are completely nonsensical. Take this bit from the Doom 2 store page:
Owners Receive:

The original DOOM II
The enhanced, re-release of DOOM II
The original TNT: Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment episodes (*Previously sold as “Final Doom”)
The original, twenty master levels from independent designers (*Previously sold as “Master Levels for Doom II”)
Aside from the fact that the enhanced re-releases still aren't available on gog, those "Previously sold as" parts may be true of Steam, but on gog those were always part of the Doom 2 package (which was sold as "DOOM II + Master Levels")

This reeks of mindless copypasting. As far as the enhanced rereleases are concerned: I'll believe it when I see it.

It appears the page has been fully rewritten since April: https://web.archive.org/web/20220407090414/https://www.gog.com/game/doom_3_bfg_edition

Edit: https://www.gog.com/en/game/doom_1993 also has a stray bullet point, so the most likely explanation is that someone can't format bullet points properly.

So does https://www.gog.com/game/doom_ii

What is this, April Fools? No such thing in my library.

(Monocled choice in games, though. Respect!)

edit: Ahhh, there it is! Good old https://www.gog.com/user/refresh still works!

edit 2: looooool, installation failed with both games! xD
Oh well, I waited 3 (?) years, I can wait a bit longer...
