Phasmid: Yep. Releases and good news tend to be priced in to share prices already, and are often used for profit taking. The example I gave in another thread was AMD, pretty much non stop good news in all their financial statements but their share price drops after each one because the good news is already priced in.
Of course the prices fluctuate around news, but I don't think it's that common for an established company to lose 40% of the value with good news..

It's interesting to note that the share value started crashing on fourth of December, which is a few days before the reviews came out. Also on fourth of December, a certain Kicinski dumped nearly half a million shares.

CDP was an obvious bubble stock* whose value was inflated by speculation to well above what its real value was. It was always going to drop away precipitously at some point. All bubbles are like that. The initial stock price drop was people essentially betting that the price would drop on release news, and getting their profit taking in first and best. Then bad news pushed it down further. The AMD comparison is just to show that even if the news were relentlessly positive you can still get stock price drops.

*CDP last released a major product before C2077 in 2015. There is no other new game on that scale waiting in the wings for release, or even announced. Yet CDP was technically worth more than Ubisoft in market cap. I personally doubt even a 40% drop has got it to what it's objectively worth.

Stop freaking out everyone!
These nonsense lawsuits are going nowhere.
Be kind to gog staff though, they are people working extra hard, missing holidays because of their certain ceo dealings with micro$oft.

That's most of the "news" YouTubers for you. They thrive on negative news as that's what gives them the most clicks. It doesn't really matter what's the subject, but negativity, in general, seems to be what works the best for them.

I blame Jim Sterling.

I miss the days of Youtubers when they were more of the AVGN variety.

What was the moment that made you stop thinking he's a genuine person and not watch his videos anymore?

I basically saw through him, I like to psychoanalize people. In most cases genuine persons see the two sides of the coin and stay away from hatred and are above the fray.

They have certainly released (and announced) stuff between Witcher 3 and C2077- Galaxy, Thronebreaker, Gwent- but they aren't major. Same for that mobile game.

No one is buying CDP stocks on the expectation of anything other than C2077, and maybe for a few long term investors the hopes of a fourth big scale Witcher game not too far in the future.

According to (Edit: this is from Jan-15) https://www.tweaktown.com/news/77367/cd-projekt-now-getting-sued-by-thirteen-law-firms-for-cyberpunk-2077/index.html there are at least 13 law firms suing - not just the 4 mentioned earlier in this thread.
There is also newer info about yet another (not listed under the 13) law firm here: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/shareholder-alert-blue-otgly-eh-182000358.html
So it may be more than 13 by now. Edit: One or more may have dropped their lawsuit/s though - I have no information on that.

There is lots more related info here - didnt check much: https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/OTGLY?p=OTGLY&.tsrc=fin-srch
