We'll see. It seems too strange to me, usually speedruns are a mix of how much a player know the game and can exploit stuff to proceed faster, avoiding enemies, skipping cutscenes etc.
25 hours seems too much, expecially considered 25 hours is the medium time required to fully beat Witcher 2 with all side-quests.
Yeh.. until the usual crazy speedrunner will find a glitch to skip to the end by using a stick and some ass-jumping XD

25 hours? Haha I'll have to see that to believe it! Unless the engine it uses is glitchproof. :)
If Morrowind can be beaten in five minutes, someone will find a way to shave just a liiiiiiitle off of that 25 hours.
They're probably doing it wrong :)

I bet my money on less than three hours. (Unless they included some really boring repetitive click orgies somewhere.)
I have my doubts.
Time/number of hours is a horrible measure of a game and really needs to stop being a thing. Especially when producers talk about things like this, it's because they didn't add quick travel features, or there's annoying grinding required, or so on. Ie, they're padding time for time's sake rather than necessarily improving the game.
Well, does anyone know how much time a Witcher 1 or 2 speedrun would take?

You can speedrun The Witcher 2 on hard difficulty in 2 hours.

Did a quick search and this is what I found:

Witcher 1: 3 hours 4 Minutes and 57 Seconds
Witcher 2: 2 Hours 18 Minutes and 17 Seconds

Also found a speedrun on Insane difficulty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwwcHvFedfQ

I seriously doubt it'll take that long for a speedrun. Maybe for a first time attempt, but it'll be much much shorter in the end (2-3 maybe even 4 hours).

Thanks for the answers. Yeah, I highly doubt a speedrun would take as long as 25 hours, but we'll have to see. There's a slim chance that they will surprise us and prove us wrong. :P
As long as they don't have unskipable cutscenes that last 24 hours, somebody will do it much faster than that.
Well, if there is depleting stamina gauge, sleep and hunger management, live action haggle .... I think fixing the whole mess in a day is quite a feat :-)

Dunno about 5 minutes. But I found a glitch once. I went up to the last guys dungeon and pressed against the door. Keep walking/running forward while jumping, aiming at the bottom of the sphere.

You eventually push through the wall with your face and can be allowed to enter the last area XD
