Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 and Yuris Revenge is on the house on Origin! Don't mind if I do.
I'm kind of tempted to request a refund...
What's the DRM status on these? I've already got my legit physical copies with a no-CD crack, so there's really no point if there's strings attached here.

Aside from downloading through origin, I dont think theres any other drm - so you should be able to port it to another computer as you like.
fuck, i'm probably give in and create an origin account, when is this temptation over?

Sign in with your account, click download. When it is finished, go onto offline mode. *shrugs* I'm not saying no to a digital copy.

Not much to lose really. I have yet to have a problem with Origin. Probably because I have never actually bought anything from it lol.

But Origin.

Are you saying you have Origined yourself?

Tell you what, EA, put C&C on GOG and I'll BUY it. You won't have to give it away for free! I'll give you MONEY for it. Eh? Ehhhhhhhhhhh?

Yes, it is the end of the world... or so some like to claim.

Ehh? So I created my account to claim the free game. And it says I have to download Origin. Is this required like Steam to get the games? If so, no sale.

Agreed

EDIT- Nevermind my questioning, I see the details now, they can keep the free copy.

Nice. Probably my favorite of the franchise.

Yup. That's the whole point of their "on the house" program, to lure in more Origin users. So far it hasn't really worked on me. The only thing I specifically bought for it was the Mass Effect Trilogy - by the way of discounted offer through GMG, no less. Everything else I got through the HB bundles and their freebies.

YEs, it's a client, similar to Steam. So, just as with Steam, if you're getting a game on Origin, you have ot install the client.

though to be clear - same as with steam - you dont have to have the client installed or running for every single game to work.
I doubt this game requires origin once downloaded.

and as with steam you can set it offline and it doesn't do anything major or shocking.
