phaolo: Because I don't want to be still in the grey area, if I pay :P
Fair enough. I think it is worth it. So many advantages with a good ereader. My only problem with my Paperwhite 2 is lacking speed. I would prefer page rendering were done instantly and indexing new books took less time.
You want fun, try Bizarro authors.

Wishbone: Also, if you want to read something funny and very very different (though not sci-fi or fantasy) I recommend Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates by Tom Robbins.
Seconded. Any of his books, really. One of the best things to happen to me in high school was my English teacher (whom I had a crush on) introducing me to his works.

Telika: The thread title says "fun". Therefore Wodehouse.

Probably "fun" was a bad choice of words :P
I meant interesting, entertaining, compelling.. not comedic or humorous.

Still, Wodehouse trumps all genres.

(Just sayin')

GR00T: Holy shit, I love this book. One of my all-time favorites in sci-fi, and probably my favorite Clarke book (and I like a lot of his stuff).
I'm happy to see others enjoy these classics :).
