I really enjoyed playing through Sam and Max's "Ice Station Santa".

Are there any other Christmas or Wintery themed / type Adventure games anyone could recommend?
(Does not have to be an adventure game specifically, but first choice.)

I just bought this stupid ass indie game on xbl that had serious Christmas overtones, except it's messed up.

Not an adventure game, but with a strong atmosphere and Wintery-Christmas themed - the game takes place during the week before Christmas - Sangfroid: Tales of Werewolves.
The game is pretty fun, and for several months, it is free, so you are free to give a try ;)

Christmas Stories: The Nutcracker

They aren't in the adventure genre, but Remar Games has two freeware titles with Christmas ties, Garden Gnome Carnage and Hyper Princess Pitch. The games on the site also come with an epilepsy warning which might come into play with these two due to their explosive nature.

Nine Parchments has Santa's Hat as loot, but besides icey location that's it.

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 includes The Christmas Chronicles, a Christmas-themed spinoff.

Tyrian 2000 has a Christmas mode currently active.

Also Puzzle Agent has at least some kind of winter feeling, if not directly related to Christmas.

I got a weird christmasy vibe from Overlord 2, but that was a while ago.

Snowcraft. This small flash game is a classic. It's not much about Christmas, but it fits the season and has a happy holidays message when it's over. :)
