It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Aningan: A lot of times the breach is caused by using the same email/password combination for other sites.
That or unsecured wifi and you covered 90% of credential thefts.

cogadh: *and this is why no one should ever access their GOG account via a public computer or really any computer that is not your own. I wouldn't be surprised if this cookie flaw is one of the exploits used to hijack some of these accounts.
I like Private Browsing in those instances. Shift-CTRL-P
They keep restoring or fixing the hijacker's email address, and not mine ._. , even though I expressed several times that whoever's email it is under is the hijacker's. Sent in a reply, and hopefully it gets sorted out. I just want them to send a temp password to the original email address after they restored it to the original, so I then can have peace of mind to reset everything myself. Driving me crazy @_@

I thought they'd be able to just look up to see what the original email address was and just fix it from there. GOG needs better communication to avoid this long back and forth support.

Maybe send them a copy of the email receipt from one of your past purchases, showing the correct email address for your account? That should be proof that the account is yours, and also will show them what the address needs to be changed to.

Not sure what else to suggest you try. Good luck, though.

I just did that this morning, and I kept telling them before that if they need proof to let me know. I feel like there's such a lack of communication with support. Hopefully the email I sent them with my proof of purchase will help, but if not I have my witcher 1 and 2 retail key copies that I redeemed on GOG. It really shouldn't be this difficult though :(. Thanks, I do hope it gets sorted soon.

Do gog support use like "username"@gog.com when they respond? Just wanted to make sure it's legit email they sent me.

Also I keep telling them if they do restore my email to give me a temp password, just so the hijacker doesn't end up stealing my account again. *fingers crossed*

Also you'd think they would be able to look up what the original address was and then give me a temp password. This is way too much trouble to get something like this sorted out. It's been about a week already and I've yet had it solved, even though I keep specifying that the account was hijacked and that the email it is under currently isn't mine...
