OK, I'm the first one to send people to the Witchers 3 forums when they post here, but some of those game specific forums are really dead.

Defender's Quest is slowly turning into "List of Questions by ZFR" forum. Some of them I solved already, but I really need help beating Bonus Challenge 5 on New Game + (plus getting to know the answers to the few still unanswered questions would be great too).

Thought I'll ask here hoping that someone can help, but doesn't visit the game specific forums often. I myself own lots of games, the forums of which here I don't check.

As extra incentive, some of those questions still have the +5 rep points for solution for grabs.

I'd help you if I could, but I don't own that game. I definitely feel your pain, though, as I have at least one unanswered question in the Din's Curse forum here that -- like the Defender's Quest forum -- is a ghost town. Here's hoping someone can help you. :)
I haven't beaten the game yet :( Been a while, i'd have to start over. I remember it being a grind to try and get some of the harder difficulties and more stars, although going back much later when you're stronger did make those a lot easier...
I'm a bit confused as to why I have never seen this game before. Looks good, added to my wishlist. +1
Now you know why that forum is dead...
Finished the game (mostly with three stars), quite enjoyed it, but was not motivated enough to do the New Game +.
Good luck.

Same as above. Good game.
Awesome game, but I too, did not finish New Game+.
New developer forum...

I did clear the New Game but I've uninstalled it, so my attempt to look up the map was thwarted. But based on a little googling that's the one with 5 spawn points across the top?

My basic strat was dragons straddling the spawn points, i think backed up by priests then knights hoping to get knockbacks into the dragons and mages right behind them for slow/aoe. Archers were in back placed to get maximum coverage on the spots where the lanes jog near the top.

Kind of like an RPG, the real trick is how built up your army is. If you have 6 of everything and you're levelled and geared, your margin for error goes up quite a bit. I think you want to be 40+ for that one, maybe?
I played it as far as I could go with only named heroes, ended up short like 5-7 stars and one accessible bonus level.
Certain levels were impossible without additional recruits toward the end (like archer and knight only on Extreme), but its surprising how many you can get by with only 1 of each class. I was only short 2 or 3 levels which were possible by the best of players.

Playing that way, you get really good at using Azra's benefits. Don't underestimate the power of lightning "spam". Killing the problematic mobs with it before they reach your forces can be life or death. Also, don't be afraid to turn off Berserker attacks before they kill themselves on Thorns mobs. There is also a Healer-bomb trick that is useful on maps where the boss appears before the start and possibly in select situations. By combining the Explosive Start book and summoning and dismissing the healer multiple times, you make a special AoE attack if you have the extra Psi. Some consider it a sort of cheat, but its necessary to get by some of the levels without using generics.
Thanks all.

(for those of you who haven't tried it; the game is great)

Yes that's the one. I'll try with dragons on top. The biggest issue here is that while in normal maps you know whether you're dead or not pretty quickly, over here you have to sit through 40 boring waves before the decisive moment comes.

Ahh yes I remember doing 1-2 of those... very very long... micromanagement galore...
