Years_of_Chaos: When is Call of Duty going to have a German, Italian, Japanese Campaign? How many times can you make a WW2 game with Amerikans, Soviets, etc

darthspudius: Our left wing civilisation would never let us play as the Nazi's. Since literally everyone is Hitler, literally.

A Hitler hugger? That's a new one.

F4LL0UT: And yet Red Orchestra 2 had a German campaign. Go figure.
You beat me to it. Unfortunately, RO 2 was pretty clunky for me, so I never got as into it as I should have.

Clunky is not a word I'd use for the game. After many hours online, it's easily the best shooter I have played. It's hard to go back to the bullet sponging pew pew games. Just takes a wee bit to get use to the difference in style.

F4LL0UT: Not surprised by this move at all after the Battlefield 1 vs Infinite Warfare debacle. Can't say that I'm thrilled, however. Especially since it sounds 100% like a desperate PR decision or something.
That debacle is rather irrelevant as far as this game is concerned. This is Sledgehammer's CoD, so it's been in development since Advanced Warfare. One of the co-founders actually mentioned around AW's release that he likes the idea of a WW2 FPS with current production values.

Well, hard to tell. The development of a CoD game usually takes two years, by November 2017 it will have been three years since Advanced Warfare, so things are seriously off here already, God knows what they've been doing in the extra year. They may have been working on an unannounced CoD game that's been put on hold or cancelled after the terrible reception of the reveal trailer of Infinite Warfare for all we know. In November it will also have been a year and a half since the very positively received reveal trailer of Battlefield 1, theoretically giving them enough time to adjust their project to that. I'm not saying that a new WW2 CoD is definitely a result of Battlefield 1's larger popularity compared to Infinite Warfare but I certainly wouldn't dismiss that option either.

That's because they switched to a 3-year, 3-studio cycle when Sledgehammer was inserted into the CoD rotation.

Okay, indeed. Fair enough. I guess you're right then.
