Ooh... that is an interesting question
Like how i have around one hundred hours in Mass Effect Andromeda without ever finishing the damn game.
First couple of tries turned out into nothing... tried Scott, couldn't get past the difference between tough nut Sheppard and young boy Scott, tried a custom male character but that was nothing either... Finally decided on giving Sara a chance and that was exactly what this man needed, her so rarely heard texas womanly voice, her quirky behavior and lets face it a very nice ass in some costumes really covered what i had need to get really into the ME experience. for some reason.... After a couple of missions the story became gripping too and certainly after discovering more of what the world had to offer. Then i had to let go for about a year before continuing my game. Because i did not really ventured far and i totally rebuild my system i decided once more to start over and this time i really had it going for me, after about 60 hours i suddenly got plagued with a bug which prevented me to continu. After a month i gave the game another try only to grab the same bug again after about 10 hours into the game. After searching around, since i did not look too EA for this behavior i tried different settings on my system such as playing around for some weeks with xmp profiles or non xmp profiles, setting the cpu to specific speed and trying out the different drives on my system i finally discovered in another game how faulty cloudsaves can be so i set all my games to save on my system and currently i am trying out a couple of games i had bugs with in this past year. One of them being Warhammer II which i had a bug in at the start of turn 300 which is about equally depressing as playing for 60 hours of Mass Effect and loosing your game.
All in all i have a fairly balanced approach to bugs. On my previous intel system bugs to me where either non excistent or i had the luck of playing genres/developers that designed with my system in mind or anything else. So i don't have a long standing relationship with bugs and/or developed a certain behavioral pattern.
That sad, with the ever increasing complexity of both used systems and gamedesigns bugs seem to become more often something to take into consideration. Parts you can do on your side is to ensure you have a qualified running system in wich you are aware about how certain powers such as heat and usage work on the components you choose, another thing to keep in mind is the huge number of setups that todays world can hold which somehow can all be the cause of bugs in any way and to be yourself a proactive player in the sense of reporting and trying to communicate with other players, use google and provide reports for the developer.
I don't have any trouble at all with stopping buying from a developer once i entered a state of mistrust either by wrong gamedesign, different taste or bugs. I do expect from myself to check if earlier made conclusions are wrong or still hold
